Haven't been here in a few years due to previous health issues. I took my Mum for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The carvery was as I remembered, delicious! Mum had the fish and chips and said it was just the right size for a lady in her twilight years.Service was a little slow but it wasn't an ordeal as we weren't pushed for time... It was also the middle of the afternoon so I'm guessing there was a slight wind down and prep for the evening shift in progress behind the scenes..All in all a pleasant visit. We will be back at some point, if only to take advantage of the Fish Friday offer..

I like this place: quiet place and very cheap prices. I appreciate the environment outside.

Very cosy place 😊 with a subdued environment. The drinks were reasonably priced and the service was excellent. The food was palatable and not exceptional. They has a shortage of beef when we arrived but other cooked meats made up for the shortfall. The turkey is worth a mention as it was succulent and tasty. The only let down was the vegetables which were a bit stewed. However, nice intimate atmosphere made up for any shortcomings.

I loved watching the Koi Carp on the way in and out. I don't really go to eat as I don't eat meat and I'm gluten free but it gives me time to spend with my family. I had some veg but I wasn't keen on the yellow carrots. Staff are cheerful and helpful. The ladies loos could do with a spruce up apart from that a pleasant place for a Sunday lunch

Had a Sunday Carvery lunch there last week, absolutely delicious! We were really surprised at the amount of meat the carver put on our plates, far more than a normal serving at other places. Our server, Megan, was really great, went the extra mile to help with a query about the wine I was drinking.

After not going for many years I can honestly say I loved it...the price is average for a carvery, the meat was nicely cooked and there was plenty of choice for veg. The only down side is parents that think it's a playground and allow children to run around which is dangerous for elderly people and staff. The staff are lovely and efficient and I will return.

Nice place but only 4 stars because there was not enough bar staff. A poor girl was struggling on her own while the rest of the staff were nowhere to be seen. She was very positive still and did her best regardless. Food is good, compliments to the chefs

Oh dear! Used to be good but no longer. Sausage that had been cooked into a hard stone and sliced of meat that looked like they had already been chewed, and not lot of it for a large size. Was a family favourite but last time for us I think

As a family we love going here, food is good and service is always friendly.Special mention for Megan, this lady is fantastic!!A total credit to the place and deserves all the praise that comes her way. In all honesty, if it wasn't for her and her exceptional customer service and amazing personality. We wouldn't be the regulars we are

Had a great experience ,our late Sunday afternoon carvery was exactly what we were after. Great roast potatoes and fantastic service from Megan who went above and beyond what I expect when having a carvery. Will be back very soon
