Waffles N' Jerk in Luton

In the most respectful way possible, this place is proof that not everyone should run a business. This is the worst place I have ever eaten and the standards were so shockingly low. Nobody needs to see their food clearly getting microwaved in front of them, the portions were not consistent and it was terribly made - a real shame as the front of house staff were quite nice.

In the nicest of ways, this restaurants food is unacceptable. I cannot believe I paid for this. I ordered 2 soul food platters and dumpling. Almost £40 I spent and in return I received;- Decent portion- uncooked rice, not sure it was washed (tasted like they opened the bag and poured the tomato mix on it and put it on the hob)- no plantain- dumplings were completely raw. (I ate the outside, remoulded it and put it back in the oven)I literally had to put my food I waited 53 minutes for back in the oven for half an hour covered in foil.I’m here for the menu but please fix up the quality. Have a conscience, people are giving you their hard earned money, at least make sure the food is fully cooked and the flavour tastes like what they’re supposed to taste like.Thank you

Just received my order and to be honest its appalling. Half of my order is missing, the curried goat is half fat and tastes like pure salt, the jolloff was under cooked and took over an hour to arrive. Sad to say I didn't look at the reviews before I ordered. I don't like leaving bad reviews but this just isn't acceptable.

The best meal I have ordered, hands down!! My family and I enjoyed it thoroughly for hubby's birthday. Thank you so much for a professional and timely ordering process and delivery. We're already forward to ordering from you guys again.

Literally the worse restaurant. I felt cheated the portion of rice didn't even reach half of the tiny bowl. I've attached a photo of what was £9 jollof rice. Totally not worth it. I will never buy from this people and will make it my business to tell everybody.

I was hesitant to order from this restaurant because of the mixed reviews but I was impressed with the menu (African and Caribbean vegetarian options) so I proceeded. The most offensive item I ordered was the Vegetable Pepper soup, the soup tasted like hot water was poured over a maggie cube and some chilli flakes were added. The soup was marked as vegetarian but I discoverer an animal bone as I was eating it 😫. The vegetable pattie was okay but the edges were burned; the puff puff was more like a festival (sweet fried dumpling) and arrived cold; the sweet corn was also cold and the oreo dessert which was just okay completely melted and dissolved to the size of one tablespoon by the time I finished the other items. Overall I wasn't impressed and won't be ordering from this restaurant again.

I’ve ordered food from here on two separate occasion and both times I wasn’t impressed. I don’t like writing mean reviews but I feel like I’d like to read a honest review if I was thinking about going here. Both times I ordered here I was disappointed, all together I’ve tried 5 different meals from the menu and not one of them did I enjoy eating. If you are African or from the Caribbean you will be able to tell these meals aren’t cooked authentically and aren’t seasoned to taste correct. The food lacked flavour and was just salty, the only reason it’s not 1 star is because I didn’t get food poisoning. The meat was really tough and everything tasted close to stale, I never finished anything because I couldn’t put myself through it.By no means am I writing this review to be disrespectful to the store, I’m just voicing my experience. They have a great menu and really good prices, I was surprised to see a restaurant making both Caribbean and African dishes so they get points for being different. I also called them on the phone and they answered promptly which isn’t always the case when you call establishments. The portion sizes were okay and the packaging was fine, it’s just the actual food which I wasn’t happy about.Thank you for reading

Went here after a recommendation. This was quite possibly the worst food we have ever eaten. The chicken and jollof rice was dry and seemed old. The beef suya was also dry and inedible. The goat pepper was so salty that we had to throw away. The only thing that was OK was the mac and cheese. It might have been a 'one off' but wouldnt go again. On the positive the customer service was good and the lady at the counter was helpful.

So I cancelled this order after finding out someone had food poisoning from the terrible food, only got half a refund but they still delivered the food to me, it smelt horrendous and the food was inedible. An insult to Jamaican/Caribbean food. Absolutely disgusting cooking and food. Please protect the human race and close down your restaurant 🤢🤮
