It was quite nice and not as busy as I thought it would be, considering it was a bank holiday Monday, the staff were very nice and helpful, orders were accurate, prices were reasonable and service was fairly quick, could be a bit faster in preparing the desserts. Great overall!

I came here on Mother’s Day as a surprise to treat my mother for a nice meal out. I had booked the table and any one in my situation would automatically assume that if a table were to be booked at a specific time, when you arrive you will be instantly seated and not have to wait in the que with those who have not booked. It is absolutely outrageous that we’ve had to wait to even be seated for over 30 minutes before even being able to order food. If you are thinking of booking for this restaurant then I have one piece of advice- DON’T BOOK! Anywhere would be better than this place.

Great pub food , very friendly service , reasonably priced . The only downside is the restaurant manager , Kevin , who is quite rude and unhelpful , perhaps he could do with a refresher course in hospitality! All the rest of the staff were top notch and went out of their way to help even though today was a very busy day (Mother's Day)

Pros:Very friendly staff!Mains was really nice (Hot dog, jumping frog...).Nice decor, comfortable seating.Cons:Coke was very watered down, I dont mind it being weak but this was borderline being sent back as it was like the syrup was out, although this happened with multiple drinks throughout the evening so I doubt it was that)The portion size of dessert was a little stingy, but ample (Sticky toffee pudding).Tills were playing up.No hand soap in the bar toilets (although there was hand sanitizer available outside the toilets)Overall, a pleasant visit and would recommend it!

We ate from the lunch menu. Food was good. Rump steak cooked to our liking.Apple betty wasn't as tasty as normal but for the price of £8.95 for 2 courses felt it was value for money. Our waiter Darren M was attentive without being intrusive and he was cheerful which made our visit a pleasant experience

I booked a table for two at 2.30 on a Sunday because from 12.00 on Sundays they do a Sunday roast, we turned up just before 2.30 and were shown to our table with two menus, one for the regular meals available and one for the Sunday roast meals. After receiving our drinks and just about to order two lamb roasts we were told there were no roasts available and we should have got there at 12.00.Are you seriously telling me that a restaurant the size of the Warden beefeater runs out of meat in two and a half hours. The staff were apologetic and polite and the food we had was fine but the ONLY reason I booked for that time on that day was to have a Sunday roast and if it hadn't been for my wife persuading me to stay I would have gladly left the restaurant and gone home and cooked my own Sunday roast. Not impressed.

Not impressed! A work table of 12 booked, we were seated and given menus, and that was it for an hour! We had to go to the bar to get our own drinks, then had to ask for someone to take our orders. It took 45 minutes for the 5 starters to arrive, then the wait continued! A further 45 minutes then we had to ask for service again, this time for our main courses! We then received a semi apology and explanation, that being we are busier than we expected! 35 minutes later main course started to arrive. When we tried to order dessert we found most of them were not available! There was no prior notification of this, we were the informed by the manager it was a supply problem! We asked if he knew at the start of service what was available, he replied yes, we then asked if it would be a good idea to inform patrons at the start of order, what is available? He replied "it changes daily"! No joking. We must say the food was excellent, which was the only saving grace.Would only recommend at quiet times, as certainly understaffed, and under poor leadership!

So what a disappointment of a establishment, refused to serve us dinner when we had spent half the day there with out any issues or table timmers. Said they where fully booked when there was 11 tables available outside. Let alone others inside free. After checking online when leaving more then plenty of space available to book tables for meals. If possible would zero star..
