Curry Cottage in Maldon

Ordered a takeaway from here. Never again. I had a chicken Madras which was not spicy and was so watery. My partner had butter chicken the sauce was pink and it tasted like they mixed ketchup and mayonnaise together. Have to say it is the worst Indian food I have ever had.

Not had a bad meal here yet. Good service good portions and served fresh and hot.

Fantastic meal, delivered to St Lawrence Bay, Southminster on time and hot. Food was delicious. Our new go to takeaway.

We booked a table at this restaurant last night for the very first time, and we are so glad we did!The food was really excellent, in fact I remarked to my partner that the vegetable curry was one of the best I've tasted, and the service was likewise top notch, we didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive at our table, and it was all delicious, well presented and reasonably priced too.The staff are very friendly, very polite and charming. They look after their customers very well.From outside the restaurant looks very attractive, and once inside the restaurant it is very well decorated and clean, as were the toilet facilities. We were very impressed, we could not fault a thing, we were even given a free drink after the meal was finished, and we really enjoyed our evening, will most definitely return in the near future. Highly recommended.

We had a take away tonight and unfortunately it wasn't very nice. When we have a t/a we mostly have the same - Curry Cottage chicken supreme, Lamb Tikka Malasa and mushroom. rice. The lamb dish this evening was completely different recipe and every single piece of meat had grissel. Different recipe for the chicken too, nowhere near as spicy. Not cheap, which you don't mind if it's nice. We will give most of this lot to our chickens tomorrow. Won't be wasting anymore time or money at The Curry Cottage again. Janet and Simon Rowham

If I could give it zero I would, yet again the order arrived with items missing. My main gripe though is the condition of the cartons and bagged items. The cartons were squashed and the contents leaked into the bag. The poppadoms looked someone had jumped up and down on them.When I called to complain, there was no apology, the customer service was none exisent. Their answer was simply throw it in the bin.Ive been ordering from this restaurant for years, to say I'm throughly disgusting doesn't really cut it.

Just awful! We have been ordering from here for the past 20 yrs on and off. Its never been as bad as it was tonight!. The food arrived late, cold and completly inedible! All the cartons were damaged, food leaked everywhere and looked stamped on! Rude delivery driver and awful response from the restaurant when I called to complain. Only response was" throw it in the bin'. Think this is geat advice! £41 worth of food, in the bin! Never again!
