The cod and steak pie were nicely done but the chips were small and shrivelled.

Very happy with service and food and menu choices

Fantastic quality freshly fried fish... Flakey cod and proper chips... Amazing. Great service and attentive staff

The most consistent and excellent fish and chips in Maldon. Everything cooked to order ensuring perfection. A choice of other dishes for this not eating fish. Something for everyone. Got to try it. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

An Excellent Chippy. Been coming for many years and always been first class. Well done all.

The staff are lovely and very accommodating. They have free WiFi! In my humble opinion they have the best chip shop chips in the world! If you love a traditional old looking English restaurant, then this is the place to be!

2 stars is being generous, I guess they were close to closing as quite a bit of cleaning going on but still open, 2 girls serving helpful and friendly, the piece of cod was good as was the veggie burger but both spoilt by the use of old almost rancid fat, the chips were obviously all that was left, quickly packaged out of sight, they were old, cold and cooked in the same horrible fat, sorry but will not be returning.

Have used this fish and chip shop for years and they never disappoint. I ordered roe and chips and my friend had a battered sausage and chips. They were cooked to order and were delicious. The chips were cooked to perfection - nice, crisp and golden on the outside and soft in the middle. It was such a lovely lunchtime treat. Well done guys.

Worst chip shop in Maldon. We used to use this place due to convenience. It has always been average at best. We went there tonight for a take away, nothing has changed, over cooked horrible chips, old microwaved chicken breast, tastes very odd. Give it a miss .

Not overly impressed with the food. Our meals came with extremely generous portions of chips not enough fish etc. There was no salad on the side and the fish/sea basket were in my opinion a little over cooked. We ordered bitter which was served ice cold. I found it to be very expensive for what I would class as take away served on a plate. The waitress was very helpful and friendly though.
