The scampi and chips were great. The cod looked enormous, my friend referred to it as whale and chips. The paella looked great but it was told it was quite spicy which wasn't to everybody's taste but still nice

We used to come here for a meal when we'd been to Kingstown Stud (as was) in Billericay.A bit out of our way but I love old boats. Lovely Pub on the quay with well kept beer and wonderful food.There were photos in the bar from when the Television production of Lovejoy was made here.It's a popular Pub with a great atmosphere and I must return soon. Dogs welcome.Reccomended. 🍷🍺 ⚓

Lovely meal my Grandson had the burger 🍔 and think chips he said it was the best he has ever eaten, he is 12yrs old.The fish & chips were beautiful crispy batter, lovely staff cannot do enough very clean public toilets, definitely going to return, thank-you to all the staff for a beautiful meal & help see you again soon.Tracie Anne

Charming higgeldy pigedley pub overlooking the quay tidal river and wetlands. Good beer and nice food.

Went there for a Sunday roast , had the lamb was delicious . The side of vegetables was tasty and crunchy . Highly recommended lovely staff too .

Good value overall and excellent location except it doesn't have parking, contrary to what it says on several hotel booking sites. Staff were young and friendly; rooms small but clean; security and fire safety questionable (no evacuation routes or procedures clearly visible, no out of hours reception or duty manager evident). Good coffee and breakfast and pleasant views from the bar and some rooms. Very flexible with my late book in and actually cheapest available option within 45 min drive for last minute stopover.

Been drinking regularly here for 4 years enjoying the views with a couple of pints, however last night we were charged £11.20 for two pints! We left after one one round and walked over to the Queens Head for the same drinks and views for £8.60. We wont be returning.

An early evening meal spoiled by loud locals who'd had a few too many cocktails. Food was ok except for mussels that were dry as though left under a heat lamp and with very little sauce. This dish was taken off the bill. Staff were pleasant but oblivious or unwilling to do anything about the noisy group in the main bar.Another couple moved tables to get away from the noise, ate quickly and left, clearly not enjoying the experience. I would not stay if I encounter this group again.

The portions for mains are good. My starter of tempura prawns was beautifully presented and my taste buds thanked me for choosing it. The mussels were delicious, and there was so many to eat! We were served by a lovely young lady who genuinely seemed like she wanted to make our experience a good one. We were taken care of and did not feel rushed.If you are travelling by car, please be aware of what I gathered regarding parking. You are limited to two hours Monday - Saturday on the street in front. On a Sunday, there were no restrictions on this street, so I got lucky when I found a spot. It seemed like all other roads around it were 24 hours permit. Therefore, if you've booked a table, do plan in time to find parking.
