Chips were freshly cooked, and good size potions, order two saveloys , both were tough skinned probably from the day before, as they open at 11am and l was there about 11,45.Small cod ok but mostly batter, sorry to say nice people, but on this experience l won't be going back .Always used wheeler's by the blue nose and that's werelm staying

Paul's plaice is the best fish and chip shop about, they do amazing food at great prices, we come all the way from Chelmsford to order from them as they are just so good, their cod bites are out of this world nice along with their chips (no other chip shop does cod bites), highly recommend this chip shop to everyone, the staff are so lovely and kind and love to laugh 😊, we found out about this place by our friend Rosie who is a regular, keep up the amazing job.

After a great walk around the Heybridge Basin, we found Paul's Plaice by accident.The fish batter was still nice and crispy after our journey home to Witham and the chips were really nice too. We enjoyed it so much I will drive here in the future for our fish and chips dinners!

This is one of the best fish and chips takeaway I've tried. The fish is fresh and normally cooked to order. Competitively priced food and really nice staff. Plenty of parking available. Highly recommended!

Amazing food - freshly cooked. Large portions at very reasonable prices. The staff are lovely - always friendly. Children receive a free lolly when food is ordered. Really clean and long opening hours. Fantastic !

The absolute best place for fish and chips. My partner and I used to live in Heybridge and came here at least once a week. We moved to Suffolk and we still come back regularly just for their chips!
