Rose & Crown in Maldon

By far the best Weatherspoons I've been in to date. Maldon is a wonderful area and Westherspoons reflects that beautifully. The food was fantastic, as always. I never have any complaints with Westherspoons food. The staff are fantastic as well. The layout is surprisingly small but really comfortable and nice.All in all, me and my friend cannot wait to go back.

This is the second time I’ve had bad experiences in this branch few weeks ago no food on a sat night ? Kitchen shut ? This sat we decided to visit again asked for jacket potato and tuna thinking can’t go wrong with that ? It came out looking ok put mayonnaise on it and went to eat it , it was frozen in middle ! My partner took it back and they said would sort it could not believe what they did the whole plate had been put in microwave salad as well, the mayonnaise had melted the salad looked liked cooked spinach again it was returned they said oh do you want another one ?! Who the hell eats hot lettuce ? One customer at bar said you couldn’t make that up hey ? we got no apology they sent a different boy out with second plate noManger available or wouldn’t come out unfortunately weatherspoons policy pay first otherwise we would have walked out without paying ?!we have been to loads of weatherspoons this is the worse for customer service !!!’

Large pub clean and tidy, using their app food wasn't to long coming. Most of us has ordered s small fish snd chips , which I thought was really small, and barely adequate. But the cost made it acceptable

Nobody goes to spoons expecting fine dining...but the burgers we had were basic to say the least. Chips dry and portions small and drinks arrived AFTER the food!Also, there was almost no choice of lager, despite it not being very busy.

One of the better weatherspoons I've been in very clean, unfortunately the younger members of staff need more training in people skills, just saying hello would be a bonus not much to ask for when they are passing or cleaning near you..

Nice big pub. Well organized at terrific prices. Makes me feel ripped off when I go elsewhere

Always visit this Wetherspoons in Maldon Essex when we are home from Spain. Excellent value for money,good selection of food on the menu and same again for the beers on offer. So anyone in Maldon for a day your lunch could be on offer there for the day. Also Maldon is an interesting town to look around,has a fair amount of history attached to it.

Poor compared to the many other Wetherspoon's we have visited. Took over 20 mins to serve our meal and drinks & pub was nowhere near full. Many tables remained uncleared from previous guests throughout our visit and many menu items were unavailable. Menu's were 'sticky' and toilets unpleasant. Beer was nice though and of course served at a great price.

The cook forgot the poaches eggs on the eggs benedict😱 and a full English! When the eggs were eventually brought out, they were boiled not poached and runny.There was no salt in the entire building either. Waitress was kind and accommodating otherwise it would be zero

A reasonable place, generally clean. The food is price appropriate so don't expect high class cuisine. The staff were polite but pretty uninterested in the customers. For example, one of the self serve coffee machines was only dispensing hot milk. When I told a member of staff, he said he knew and the machine was broken. I had to suggest that they put a sign to that effect on the machine as customers were wasting their time using it. So, all in all an OK experience.
