Sauda Village in Maldon

I do regularly go here and has never been an issue quality wise. Friendly staff. Now you can order and pay online which makes life much simpler. . I used to always go to Jolly Fryer but I kinda got a bit bored of the food only really tasting of the fat they use.

Good fish and chips good portion well cooked

The worst fish and chips ever chips were heated up from last night and stale oil was used give it a miss. We had to throw ours away. When we went back the guy said sorry.

Chips good taste and portions but the fish very small and a bit sad looking.. keep to the fishcakes and sausage you'd be alright!

The best fish and chips in Essex in fact the best i have tasted for a long time in the uk. The management team are very friendly and most welcoming as they take great pride in cooking in the most traditional way. Good quality, very highly recommended and you must try it if you are in the area. Also i believe that they are opening up a grill, indian & desert place next door which if as good as the village fish & chips shop then should be a winner... Well done👌👌👌❤️💯👌👌👌

Awful, rock hard chips, sausage tasted off ,had foil over top in shop, uneatable.Not sure about the curry sauce!! Not sure the birds will attempt to eat it. Avoid in future.

Having lived in the area all my life I only tried Saudi village fish and chip about 2 weeks ago however I was genuinely impressed the quality of the fish. Will be going back there every time from now on. The curry sauce could be better but that’s all preference.

What shame Sauda village chip shop doesn't live up to the Sauda village oyster pit. Bought 2 portions of chips, got them home and saw what a pathetic amount of chips you get for £2.00, and sadly they were lukewarm at best. Definitely will not spending any money there again.

Bought haddock at £7.50 wanted for two people was told it would be around 14inches turned out about 8inches 🙄 chip portion size small too. Lost my custom.
