A great friendly place to be liveky atmosphere great dinners and breakfasts the pub is a dream come true. Full of nice staff and great service to have at a local pub.

Nice meal but far too much mash with my bangers and peas would prefer another sausage there were 3 of us but did not get given 2 meals for £15 even though we went on a Wednesday.

Went in at 11am to book for 2pmLooked lovely, very impressed, however don't judge a book and all that!Waited and waited for someone to take a drinks order .. then waited for a menu ... then waited and waited for someone to take our food order .. so then we noticed a sign saying please order food at the bar .. to then be told someone is finally coming to take our order from the table but .. wait the orders were closed now for roasts??? After explaining we HAD booked they decided we could eat, nearly a hour in and no food, it was a carvery so all they had to do was plate us up the meat! had to ask for the kids meals as they were so hungry .. then 3 times we asked for gravy ... whilst we was all still .. yep .. waiting ... we decided to pay for the kids and leave, the staff were unfriendly and unhelpful and un apologetic, we asked for ketchup and she had to go into the kitchen to open all the bottles to get us some out as the condiment bottles were emptyThen even the kids left their meals as they said they were like plastic potatoesI can honestly say I have never been in such a unorganised place in my life to eat, never have I experienced such lack of customer service.Looks like a beautiful place ... swerve it we was totally disgusted.They need a new chef and some staff who are able to smile and possess manners

Had breakfast at St Lawrence twice now and both times- couldn't fault it. Freshly cooked, well presented food and very friendly staff. At last - somewhere decent in the Dengie to get breakfast !!! Good luck for the future guys. Xxx

Excellent place to eat and drink very clean and tidy . The new landlord has done wonders to the place the staff are very friendly and helpful there is always a great atmosphere. The food is freshly prepared and is delicious and very reasonably priced also a wide range of drinks to choose from ... 100%
