Wonderful location with coast walks right outside the door. Pay and display car park just a short walk away.Inside and outside tables. The staff are all very friendly and the food is as always excellent. The restaurant is a very pleasant place to enjoy a meal or cream tea/ afternoon tea.It is part of the WILKINS jam group so you know that means high quality food.

Lovely day late in March. Meadows Car Park free until I think Mothering Sunday. Had a crab sandwich and a cuppa. Then walked around the lake and back down the tow path. I think boat trips start next week. Then went back to the tea room for cake. To our surprise it comes with ice cream, cream or custard which was a bonus and beautiful end to a perfect day.

More than just a tea rooms! The meals are on par with some pub food that I've eaten in the past. We had Steak and Ale pie and Quiche Lorraine, by far the best pastry I've eaten in a long while. The staff were friendly and the view just added to the experience. We can't wait to come back and enjoy the food again.

Lovely lunch after a 4 mile walk along the river. Not overly priced offering a good selection of light lunch dishes. Staff were great.

·

Staff friendly. Had a tea cake and scone really nice. Glorious day even though its February so we're able to sit outside. Perfect location.

A good Tiptree/Wilkins tearoom right next to the water's edge. Free parking five mins walk away. Gluten-free scones for classic cream tea are good, but check stock before you visit as they ran out whilst they were taking our order.

Great hidden gem! Food is great and affordable too. We enjoyed the lovely waterside view.

Had full breakfast there this morning , very nice , very friendly staff and lots of them , serving inside and outside, we were 1st in at 900am, but soon got busy ,2 full breakfast plus 2 large pots of tea £25.90 certainly a plate full with toast. Would highly recommend it

Omg, amazing! Food, staff, the view!! Thankfully for a blissfully sunny day, but the view is great, you could mistake it for the Med. Love the fact it's associated with Tiptree jam/sauces etc product range. Only down side is not being able to book a table, but never mind, we British love a queue anyway!

We went along today in high winds and sat outside. The staff were lovely, showing us to our table and chatting too.We had toasties and a cream tea which were delicious. Sitting there looking at the Heybridge waterways, even in cold windy weather was really enjoyable and relaxing. They were very good with all the Covid rules too.Highly recommended.
