Previous reviewers seem to love this place so perhaps we came on an off day. We came here for lunch and found the staff and service grudging and generally just a bit unfriendly. The food was fine - nothing amazing - but did the job.

Lovely food and Staff. Hayley & Co are so good,food never disappoints and very good value for money. We always come to the Fig Tree first before doing anything else in Maldon . Nice garden out back to enjoy when the weather is nice too.

I LOVE the Fig Tree!!!It's a real gem of a place and I highly recommend it! REAL FOOD, Great prices and really friendly staff. In today's manufactured world it is always wonderful to spend time relaxing at the Fig Tree, Maldon and eating food like Mum used to make.

Came here for lunch with my mum on Christmas eve, the service was great and the food was gorgeous good value for money, definitely recommend!
