Very nice food and big portions , lovely pub and the staff are fantastic

Visited with friends using a Groupon for Four. Food selection was really good as were the staff. Will definitely be going back Groupon or no Groupon as good value either way.

Staff absolutely lovely and we were served promptly without having to wait long for food either. No vegan choices unfortunately but we worked around it by asking for our mains without cheese. Only one starter option for us which was soup. Not a problem, it tasted nice but quite a small amount in the bowl. Place seemed popular. Maybe could do with a refurb. As I said, lovely staff. They coped well with how busy they were.

We had not been to this pub before but we were greatly impressed with the quality and portion size of our respective meals. I had driven over from Romford to try the venue out and can confirm that I will return. The staff are friendly and make you feel comfortable. My wife is allergic to chilies so the staff gave us all the information we needed concerning her choice.

Very nice food, portion size was very generous and the staff were nice and friendly. I had the fish and chips which was delicious and my husband had the chilli chicken which was huge! Would definitely recommend and shall go back. My only criticism was that the room was cold.

Used Meerkat Meals offer on a Sunday and food was very good. Only negative was I requested no cheese with meal but still came with it. Staff very attentative and friendly. Will definitely be returning. 4 people 3 courses £45 after discounts plus drinks.

First time ordering food for collection and can say the food was absolutely fantastic. Nice size portions and was worth every penny! Only downside was that I had to wait an extra 25 minutes for the food but they were really busy and it was a Friday night. Will try eating at the restaurant next time and going for a few drinks before hand. 👍🏻

Went for a Sunday lunch at this pub and enjoyed the sun in the secluded garden with picnic tables&benches. There is a little playground for children which is great. Food was delicious and we felt so full afterwards! We had a main and a dessert each and kids menu for £4.95, which included a scoop of ice-cream. All in all a great experience. Definitely recommend.

Delicious food and a lovely venue tucked away in the heart of the Essex countryside. A real homely pub. Great staff, good service. Fabulous food and a good selection of wines and beers. We had a great night out.
