The Oyster Smack Inn in Maldon

Pleasant atmosphere. Friendly staff. The mains were ok, though the desserts were very good! Some of the group highlighted that they’d been many times before and it has been excellent, so their surprise makes me feel we were probably just unlucky with some of the mains on the day we went for dinner. Great experience, stayed here for a family wedding nearby. Room was nice, clean and a comfy bed, we all met up the morning after wedding and had a lovely hot buffet breakfast. Staff friendly and efficient.

Ate evening meal on a Saturday night. A La Carte Menu. Food was excellent and staff were very welcoming. Young Chef is very talented and would definitely recommend a visit. A great experience. Will definitely go again.

We have just had the most wonderful meal with impeccable friendly staff and amazing food. Both the dogs and our older contingent were welcomed and provided with water as soon as we arrived 👍🏼 10/10

Called in on the off chance and fortunately had a table for two available.What a result,good service, excellent food and reasonably priced.Will go back without hesitation.

Nice place to stay.The menu looked fab but got their too late to eat (for.me)Breakfast, continental is included. Cooked is extra. Good cooked breakfast.

Fantastic rooms and fantastic food, very reasonable prices. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere and busy in restaurant for a Monday night. Parking a little tight, but better to have it than have none at all.

Stayed overnight and had breakfast in the morning. The rooms are very pleasant and clean. Room sizes seem to be quite variable, our room was large with a sofa in it. Friends of ours also stayed, their room was significantly smaller but still pleasant.I had a full English breakfast, which was well cooked and make with quality ingredients.All the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially at breakfast.Well done all! Would gladly recommend if you're looking for somewhere to stay over night
