Wow what happen! Don't no if this was a one off because I forth this was the best Chinese in the area, not anymore tho. Covered in grease and over cooked spring rolls dripping in the stuff. Not nice at all. Shame really and I'm not going agian. Not even free prawn crackers!!

Great food, well worth driving for, best in the area.

Very disappointed with our meal we chose the Emporer set menu starter was over cooked, bland and didn’t particularly taste of anything identifiable, the aromatic duck was dry and tasteless, then the 3 dish selection that followed all looked and tasted the same! Except for the schezuan prawns for obvious reasons! We could have complained but my husband does not like confrontation, he just will refuse to go there ever again!!!

Good quality food here but always seems to taste better eating in than as a takeaway, maybe it looses flavour on the journey home or maybe it's the beer they serve!

Friendly staff and delicious food. A simple review, but the core parts of a restaurant - clean, friendly and the obvious desire to go back again for the food.Food was prepared quickly and was piping hot. The waiting area was clean and spacious, although I presume it can get 'friendly' in busier times.

Miles away from where we live but if we lived in Scotland it would be worth the effort to get there. Fantisic food and great service. If you’ve never been there you’re missing out on the best Chinese food in Essex. Lee Paterson

Best Chinese takeaway in the area. Prompty friendly service. I've never sat down for a meal here, but have enjoyed quite a few take-aways.
