The Sunny Sailor in Maldon

Good value, waterside tables, simple but tasty food offering (inc kids options). This is no posh gastropub, but for beer by the river, or a simple lunch (eg. The burger is just that, no salad or chips, add those separately), it ticks the box. Lost 1 star as service became v slow when it got busy, and indoor seating limited.

Stopped off at the Sunny Sailor for a quiet drink on our way back to the hotel on Saturday night, five minutes later the band kicked off. Ridiculously entertaining, what an unexpected treat. Let's roooooooccccccckkkkkk!

Bit of a let down, if I'm honest. Bet it's lovely outside in the summer though.

Excellent evening at The Sunny Sailor watching local covers band 'Final Demand' doing their two sets. The staff were very welcoming and the beer (Adnam Mosaic) was really good. Final Demand were 5 stars too.

Nice pub by the river

Such a friendly pub with good music and good beer! I would highly recommend a visit or two!!

The Sunny Sailor has a brilliant location on the sunny side of the River Chelmer at the bottom of Market Hill. It is very popular on sunny evenings with large crowds sitting outside on the river walls.

Lovely staff brilliant locals live music good food and beer, what more could you want. Love the place it's like a second home.

Lunch was very nice, piping hot on hot plates. It is only very basic pub food, so the choice is a little limited. Service was good, the food arrived in the time stated.

Lovely little family orientated pub, £3 meals are and absolute winner. Best pub in Maldon
