The Swallowtail in Maldon

Excellent food, fast service, modern clean and tidy.My fish n chips was cooked just right and well presented. Lovely sitting out on the balcony taking in the view. My friends were also very impressed with their meals. Plenty of parking. Will definitely visit again!Just visited again and had Cajun chicken and rice. Lovely! Fast service, well presented food.

Excellent food,battered cod got to be one of the best I have had.

Went for a birthday party at weekend and it was very organized and friendly although a few people had slight issues with their food, this was soon put right and a discount was offered at the end of the meal. Fish and chips were lovely though! A nice location for a drink or meal.

First time back in a long time. New management team. Good service and food was good. Hopefully they brilliant do well now

First time here for dinner and it didn't disappoint. Food was delicious and plentiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend a visit and I'll definitely be going back.

Absolutely disgusted with the customer service of this place. After the last 18months with weddings being cancelled and rescheduled you would think venues like this would be thankful and bending over backwards for business but no, the new management decide to pull out of the package deal that was promised 3 weeks before my friends big day. Thankfully they have found a mpre beautiful place who were only happy to help make their dreams come true. Stay well clear of here if you are thinking of celebrating a special day

Absolutely disgusting customer service. With the 3 weeks to my friends wedding and the manager leaves and sends out a text message saying that she's left and here's the new manager details.Can't accommodate everything was promised so just cancelled the wedding utter disgrace.would not recommend this place.

This is a must visit venue, the staff are always super friendly, they have a great selection of beers and wines and the food is very well priced. Thanks for a great time and keep it

Hey, nice view from top balcony and food in the past has been surprisingly good, and I don't this mean negatively, it's was a result and really friendly staff. But if you are dropping in for a quick drink, you are paying London prices, not necessary a problem, but just flagging this if you are watching your pennies :).I would have given this a 3 1/2 stars but it's not on the system, this is an above ok venue! Worth it as said earlier, if you are not watching your pennies.What is in a penny? just zinc, copper and nickel or me being tight :)

We have just put our boat in the marina here for the season and are so glad we did. The Swallowtail is the marina bar and restaurant. It has a fantasic view over the marina, a great relaxed atmosphere and is very friendly indeed. I can see we will be frequent visitors.
