The Swan in Maldon

Great food. Staff are attentive without being pushy. Cocktails were delicious. Would definitely go again.

I went in their for the first time for lunch today with a group called the Maldon pioneers and the staff were friendly and polite and I had a house steak burger and skinny fries and a coke the food and the service was amazing I would highly recommend it to anyone that doesn't live in Maldon

Had a 2 course meal and a glass of Champagne. The food was delicious especially the lemon posset dessert, the champagne came with a strawberry. The staff was attentive, would visit again.

Been here a few times, always a very good grill, the steak was cooked to perfection and very tender, good portion size and very fair prices, would definitely recommend.

Food was absolutely out of this world, but the service was absolutely horrendous, we asked for a table for 2 and we told someone would come and take our orders, so after 15 mins we had to get our own menus, and drink, food was great when it arrived, but we were asked if we wanted some sweets, after waiting more than 20 mins we gave up and paid the bill, before we paid the bill we noticed the the bar maids were stood around doing nothing and just chatting, enough said shame really

Love this place! We were visiting Maldon and just happened to choose here for a pub lunch. Food quality and service was brilliant.

Food is pretty good, Staff are quite friendly just a little slow.

We had a lovely roast meal here this afternoon and some of the best Yorkshire puddings we've had in a while! It was fairly reasonable and had a good atmosphere, even mid afternoon. The desserts as well were absolutely delicious and had loads of flavour, and the servers were kind and friendly too. It's definitely worth stopping off if you're in the high street!

Family lunch here with 2 young children and the wife. Great service and the food was outstanding. The Yorkshire pudding was like a thing of beauty.Covid safe, and really warm and welcome venue - Highly recommend

The only reason I've given the Swan 4 stars is because for the price I paid for 2 nights they didn't provide breakfast and they also closed the pub around 7PM, so when we returned to have our evening meal the pub was closed. The accommodation was gorgeous, and was spotless. Tea, coffee, milk was supplied along with shower accessories. The owners have made an amazing job of refurbishing The Swan, and the staff are attentive and friendly 😀. I've stayed at The Swan many times over the last 25 years and I'm definitely going to stay there many times again 😀. I hope to add the 5th star 🌟 next time. I do recommend The Swan, but at the moment be prepared to enjoy the many restaurants in and around Maldon.
