Three Eight in Maldon

I'd say that was the worst Chinese I've ever had. Delivery was very quick, but: normally with our Chinese in different places we were getting 6 sesame prawn toasts, this place gives you 4. Size of the portions is literally a joke for the same money we used to spend in other Chinese restaurants. You can't eat chicken chow mein without a glass of water, way too salty. Crispy shredded beef I would rename as chewy shredded tyre. Not edible, had to throw it away. Maybe other things are nice there, never tried, but will never order this again!

Once ordered 1/4 crispy aromatic duck and once opened to dish up back home looked like 1/4 crispy barbecued stamped on sparrow!

Pretty decent food, have got from here several times and never had any issues

disgusting! NEVER EAT FROM HEREi orderd food from here yesterday against local advice, while waiting i wanderd outside and around the back where to my disgust i could here distressed cats, i could see in the window above the shop what must have been 50 cats scratching at the window, i asked the owner dose he breed cats as i collected my food, he sharply told me he dose not keep any pets on the property??, as i left i felt very unsettled about the situation.upon dishing out the food we had just got there was clearly something off about it, i found CAT HAIR! AND what looked like raw skin attached to that hair!absolutely discusted i called the shop only to be told by the manager that i was making it up for free food! WHAT THE HELL!!today still sick to my stomach i have been in contact with RSPCA and local council and will continue to pursue this disgraseif you dont belive my story take a look in the back windows above the shop!shame on you!!!

excellent take a way,friendly service used it many times with no problems only thing that could be improved is to have its own website with its menu/price list amongst others things but this is only a minor detail

Superb menu and great food. They can also deliver locally.

Delivered very quickly but the food was so bland and poor quality the portions were very small too but the price was more than what we have paid before by other Chinese take aways. We will not be using them again.

Just had a super meal from three eight..the Chinese curry was very tasty and flavourful x great sweet/ sour prawn with crispy batter but not oily ..or too overfried great mixture of vegetables and meat special chop suey x perfect thank you x
