We spent two nights here on a bed and breakfast basis. The hotel is very good although we were disappointed that the spa was closed. The rooms are spacious and the en-suite was superb. There was a bit of a musty smell in the room but it was clean. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The bars are very comfortable and during our visit the weather was glorious which allowed us to use the courtyards for a drink. The food was delicious and well presented and the wine list was not over overpriced. We will definitely be back.

Even though the hotel was a bit frayed around the edges there was tons of character, a nice bar and lounge areas, and the staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly. From the moment we arrived we were well cared for even though there was a small coach party of 20 to be looked after as well. The food served in the restaurant was very good standard, plenty of fresh produce, a bit surprised by large starters, the creamy mushrooms and the 70s classic, prawn cocktail were a couple of the stand outs. The staff Chloe, Jonathan, Lauren deserve a special mention, thank you, nothing was too much trouble.

Staff were excellent. Room clean. Food was delicious. Had my wedding with them and could not fault a single thing nor could any of my guests. The manager and her staff went above and beyond to make sure our day went smoothly and it did.

Our experience at this hotel was a nightmare was locked out all night because of incompatent staff failing to pass on door codes. No emergency phone number answered rooms were dirty , breakfast staff nice and polite, breakfast room no space.all furniture around dining area needed cleaning, piles of dirt on the floor. Avoid at all costs.

The hotel had a group booking so we needed to eat dinner early. Food was nice. Staff were helpful

If I could give less stars then I would, an absolute shambles first room they tried to put us in was terrible falling apart and the smell of damp was awful, they offered us another room on request told they would refund some of the fee which never happened apparently a free soft drink was enough. The food in the restaurant was bland and horrible the bar maid was incredibly rude. This was meant to be a romantic break for me and my partner which was totally ruined by the state of the hotel. There is no spa even though it states there is. The place just needs to close to be honest its not even of a standard to house animals. I have been in touch with best western and will be making a formal complaint along with speaking to the council regarding the hygiene rating.really disappointed as this totally ruined are weekend an absolute disgrace avoid at all costs

We didn’t get the room we booked, the room was small and very retired. The shower temperature was broken and luckily I hadn’t stepped into it when I turned it on or I would have been scolded and burnt. The manager didn’t want to come to the room to take a look and couldn’t offer us another room so we had to leave. She assured us we wouldn’t be charged for the room but we have. Trying to get our money back at the moment and had to face a long drive home to Leicester after having a full day of activities in southwold

We had a quick overnight stay on our way to Dunstan Hall, the room was very nice and well appointed, we slept very well in a very comfy bed, the breakfast next day was also very good, the staff were all exceptional and very helpful, we will definitely recommend Best Western to Friends and Family.

My friend booked afternoon tea as a Christmas gift, so today was the day.She rang to advise them on 2 occasions days before to say no salmon sandwiches or mayonnaise on anything.Arrived and after going through a maze of corridors found where we eating . Tea and coffee came then the food , first things we saw were salmon sandwiches and tuna with mayo , informed the waitress who apologies and would change them . Well she came back with cheese and cucumber , cucumber with cream cheese , needed a magnifying glass to find the cream cheese but the thing we found most comical was the BLT sandwich, very unusual for afternoon tea . Oh how we laughed , cakes not much better , brownie very stodgy cheesecake far to big, the only good things were the warm scone and lemon drizzle cake . Safe to say we wont be returning.

I'm giving the Brome Grange 5 stars because our stay was excellent. Its one of the cheapest hotels in the area, but they have all the perks as the more high-end hotels. They have a gym, a spa, a bar, restaurant and offer room service. The entire staff is friendly and overall just wonderful people.Yes, there are some things that could be improved, but you get more than you pay for here.
