Eye Fish And Chip Shop in Mid Suffolk

Ok if you want everything deep fried and covered in batter, being that I wanted a burger or sausage without, they wouldn’t do it so had to go somewhere else.

Best fish and chips in the area chips are always hot and well cooked and the fish is huge hope your hungry

Excellent fish and chips, cooked to order. Reasonably priced. I'm staying locally, bought some last week went back for more this week. I'm back to Devon tomorrow. Pity I can't take this chippy with me.

Probably the best fish I’ve ever had from a fish and chip shop. Very light batter, and delicately cooked fish. Chips were also excellent!

Freshly cooked, batter lovely and light and cooked to perfection , chips were really nice . Definitely will go back to this chip shop .Excellent service lovely and clean .

Lovely fish and chips generally freshly cooked to order . Not a big menu and only cash taken but what they do they do well. Love the fact big orders come on recycled cardboard trays from supermarkets the ones the tins on.

My feelings on this location are mixed. While it has a decent store front and friendly staff, it's food isn't the best. The fish is mediocre - way too greasy and oily for my taste. The sausages are regular for an English fish and chip shop, stodgy and reconstituted meat that tastes alright. My biggest issue is the chips. When they aren't raw, they're soggy and disgustingly vinegar-ed.I have no issue with people who like this place, but it is beyond disgusting for my tastes despite the nice staff and presentable shop.

It's hit and miss with this shop.. Chips could do with more cooking time to crisp them and sadly yesterday the batter was very greasy, so would suggest that the oil needs to be hotter to save things bei g in the oil too long. On the whole a good shop and if not too oily, then food is lovely
