Fox & Goose in Mid Suffolk

Fine looking old building. Very good food and efficient enthusiastic service. Offers both fine dining and traditional pub fare. Two local beers were well kept. Highly recommended.

This place looks a lot better inside than out 😂 we needed a quick drink in the area but as it was fairly early, this was the only place open. Huge sign outside doesn't look very nice and we were not sure to start with, but once you step in, it turns into lovely place with great atmosphere and lovely staff. We sat outside at the front as weather was nice.

Came here last night for my Birthday and we had the taster menu. It was sublime I’ve had a few of these taster menus in other restaurants and this is by far the best for taste and value. Thankyou so much for a wonderful meal and making my birthday so lovely

Absolutely amazing meal. Totally delicious. Never let's us down. So lucky to have fox and goose close by. Service was excellent.

Visited the Fox and Goose for the first time last night. Was a great experience all round. Dining rooms were tasteful and felt cosy, with a lovely log fire in ours. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, service is fantastic. We had the taster menu which was just delicious. I really loved every dish. Sea bream and beef dishes were particularly memorable along with the lovely light and fresh desserts. We don't live locally but will find an excuse to come back!

Visited on a Friday evening. We has the tasting menu and every course was great with lots of unusual combinations. Very generous portions for every course.Staff lovely and friendly. Definitely worth the money including the wine which was reasonably priced.Highly recommended.

2nd visit to this lovely pub ...husband is pescatarian and I'm vegan...good to see a full vegan menu offering plant based wholefoods and not just faux meat alternatives..creative menu and superb flavours ..Great friendly service ..will definitely visit again and bring family and friends ..lovely peaceful setting ..highly recommend 👌

Come here for our 20th Wedding anniversary. What a amazing place the food is to die for and the staff and service is great. Worth every penny and will be returning soon

Gorgeous pub set in stunning village location. The lamb I had for the main just melted in your mouth. All the food was completely faultless, yes a little more pricey but if you prefer the finer things, this is the place for you!

Absolutely loved our meal here. Wonderful location in a fine period building in the middle of Fressingfield village right next to the parish church. Sunday evening was very quiet, we were seated in the ground floor dining room overlooking the church. Service was understated and professional and having reserved a few days ahead advising that one of our group was vegetarian two additional 'v' dishes were added to the menu. Food was well prepared (exactly to taste re. the beef ordered) and presented. Pre-starters and amuse bouche effectively complemented the courses. The wine list was both accessible and affordable.One startling observation - not related to our experience, but certainly jaw-dropping; another diner had been presented with a still-frozen bread roll! The matter was appropriately handled by the hugely apologetic waiting staff but it left an embarrassing note hanging in the air. Bread wasn't described as freshly baked but one makes certain assumptions when there's fresh linen on the table.
