Lakeside Cafe in Mid Suffolk

Good, had the full English breakfast, mushrooms were very nice and cooked in garlic. Would recommend booking if you plan to go though as it can get quite busy.

Food is amazing. Excellent quality, and decent size portions. Best french toast ever!! Family and dog friendly, with a little play area outside. Couldn’t recommend enough! Worth booking a table as they are usually busy :)

Interesting place for something to eat near a lake to wander around, kids play area & campsite too. Good food. When busy it seems quite noisy.

Lovely food, nice view and even though there was no more space inside I still enjoyed being there as they have outdoor heaters. Coffee could be stronger but other than that I had a lovely time :)

Great eating experience here for all the family. Fantastic food. Restaurant has a concise menu of dishes done to a high standard with good portion size and at reasonable cost. Would highly reccomend.

This is without a doubt the best cafe in the area by a long shot. Delicious food and coffee, its dog friendly and its location is absolutely beautiful. Perfect for families too. Its often very busy but it's always worth the wait for a table - or you if you're organised you can always book in advance. I highly recommend the French toast and smoked salmon and avocado breakfast. But honestly everything I've tried has been amazing there. Super kind and helpful staff too.

First time visiting and was certainly not disappointed. Friendly staff from booking online right through to leaving. Quick service with excellent food. We all had the house cooked breakfast. The food all tasted fresh and the tiger bread toast was a lovely touch. Will definitely be returning.

Some places just surprise you and The Lakeside Cafe is one of those places.We tried to have a spot of food here a couple of months ago, there was a queue out of the door, we as a nation were just emerging from one of the lockdowns and the demand for anything other than staying home was enormous. We vowed to try again at a later date, today was that date.Where do you start when everything you can possibly comment on was perfect.The staff, worked so hard. The welcome, was professional. The "of course we can fit you in" was a relief. The location is stunning, the cleanliness is without compromise, the efficiency and speed of service, was quite frankly miraculous. All this and the food was stunning.There is a lot to like, at The Lakeside Cafe, and we will definitely be back, what's more, I will be telling all who will listen what a gem of a cafe you have down by the beautiful lake in the wonderful Suffolk countryside.

Had a delicious breakfast outside this lovely lakeside cafe. There were 8 of us and we were all served very promptly with a smile! Food was yummy, great value and I was really impressed with the vegan options. Lovely friendly service too, can't wait to come back x 😋
