Roots & Shoots Garden Centre in Mid Suffolk

Hadn't been for some time but it was very nice lovely places to sit outside staff very pleasant fruit scones were excellent

SHOCKING CAFE HYGIENELooking to see what hygiene rating this place has, it’s run by young polite teenagers without a clue on food hygiene!!! Handling food they are serving after using the bins, no gloves or utensils etc.. handling cakes with their hands and no sign of any food hygiene at all.Don’t waste your money!! It’s a dirty poor run / managed place.The food wasn’t brilliant!!

Good selection of plants you need for the garden. Good team that work there as well.

Lovely selection of plants and flowers.Only thing I would say is we waited a long time in the cafe for just a hot chocolate and flat white. I think we were waiting 15 minutes, which is a long time for what is quite a simple order, when the drinks did arrive there was no apology either. I didn't quite understand what the delay was as there was only one other table.Other than that - a lovely experience, just something to bear in mind for staff training in the cafe.

Pleasant nursery/garden centre with a good range of shrubs, bedding plants and seeds, together with accessories, tools, garden furniture etc. Plant prices seem generally competitive with the national retailers. Haven't visited the cafe.My only real issue is the vehicular access. Leaving the site involves crossing a footpath which is also a cyclepath. Access from the unmade car park to the highway is on a compound incline. This is a rare case where I would actually welcome a reduction in the speed limit (currently 60mph).

Well laid out. Nice variety of shrubs and plants. Reasonably priced. Also a good range of garden ornaments and furniture.

Great selection of plants. Garden furniture looks great however they are not cheap.

It's a great garden centre where you can find alsorts of lovely plants, sculptures, garden accessories etc , which I'll give five stars without a doubt 😀. The one star is purely for their cafe , don't get me wrong it's not the food so don't worry, it's their slow service when it comes to waiting for a very long time before the order arrives at the table, both me and my wife waited 25 minutes just for tea for two, and a further 35 minutes before our food arrived. I was told that they were very busy, and should expect to wait half an hour. The drinks should be served first at least within the first five minutes which in my experience is normal practice no matter how busy it gets. I do understand that they were pretty busy, but it wasn't very busy as I've been in different establishment were I would be served within 15 minutes. It would be great for improvement for a much better and quicker service. I did complain at least three times and was told the food would arrive soon, but never did. So I do believe that management should look into this matter as it has happened twice to me and my wife as we were not impressed at all and I'm sure we weren't the only ones.

Nice and clean, friendly service, We had a nice pot of tea.

Excellent independent garden centre with a large and varied range of plants, pots etc, bird feeders and much more. Also a coffee shop and the best range of birthday cards in the area.
