We had great hopes about the local pub near our holiday cottage. Great anticipation on our first night and bitter disappointment in the meal - perhaps the worse meal I have ever had. To be fair the staff were lovely and did their best but were totally let down by the kitchen. The menu sounded good with tripple cooked chips. Think the chef didn't know what tripple cooked chips were. Perhaps the thought was if not used first night present again and so on. They were revolting. Cannot say anything but do not visit the Swan for a decent meal.

Very friendly staff great service. The started where amazing part from the what seemed very cheap chilli sauce. The Mains not so great very greasy chips not crispy at all some even part raw, the onion rings where just cheap frozen ones so not worth having, the rings where lovely and juicy falling of the bone but flavour less needed more sauce and the burger was ok nothing special but still good.16/06/22

Went at xmas 2021 for a family(9) meal and we all loved it. Lovely welcome from the staff, very friendly and attentive. Food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. This week 5 of us went back for my sons birthday. Called in advance and they had put a lovely helium balloon on the table and birthday banners up round the table - made him feel very special. Food was wonderful again - best calamari I've ever had and all our dishes were excellent, good size portions and perfectly cooked. Great pub all round and will definitely go again.

I'm sure I've reviewed The Swan before but I've been there several times and always want to go back. Each time I've gone I try a different meal and they are all perfectly cooked. I love how often the menus change so I never know what to expect. Beautiful building and always lovely, smiling, helpful staff. Just love it.

Staff friendly and helpful. Sadly disappointed with the meal. Chips NOT chunky and quite greasy. Fish had nice batter but very boney. Side salad was just a few leaves, not as described by waitress with tomatoes, cucumber, peppers etc. Wouldn't bother to eat there again.

Lovely traditional pub which oozes quality in a beautiful little village. The food was delicious. Sunday roast was 1st class.

A warm welcome, great food, good choice of menu, large portions. Lovely staff, Sarah was extremely helpful and an accommodating Chef on my change of ingredients in my meal, thank you! Due to such a warm friendly welcome and atmosphere we will be returning again very soon.

I was lucky enough to be treated today to a Mothers Day lunch. A complimentary glass of Prosecco to start followed by deep fried Brie with sweet chilli sauce and a wonderful roast, in my case pork , perfect crackling , home cooked veg , roasties and perfect Yorkshire puddings. For me no pudding but steamed sponge pudding with custard and ice-cream was enjoyed by the other half.Wonderful staff, fabulous location ,good choice of beers and wines definitely one to visit and we will certainly be back.In my opinion a well deserved 5 stars *****
