Tapas evening was very good. On time (we had a takeaway), good value and very tasty. Thoroughly recommended.

This cafe is full of surprises. It’s bigger than it looks - toilets and more seating upstairs.The staff were welcoming and lovely. Tables on the ground floor were divided by perspex screens. It’s clearly a popular spot with locals.I would describe the food as good quality, simple and straightforward. Our breakfasts were well cooked. What I liked the most, was how good the tea was. A disappointing tea can ruin a meal.

We went for a Christmas mealwith friends and had a splendid evening. They catered to our dietary requirements beautifully- one of us was gluten intolerant and one was dairy free. Service was warm and friendly, we go every week for breakfast so was lovely to enjoy their evening hospitality too and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend and will be going back for dinner as well as breakfast soon!

Went here for our team Christmas meal, rhe service and food was absolutely amazing the table was set beautifully and was very cosy. The atmosphere was laid back and comfortable. The only issue we found was the availability of drinks. When booking I asked what was available and was advised that there would be 2 ales and 2 lagers and some cider as well as spirits but on the night there was 3 bottle of ale and 2 guinnes and a few lagers so we had to choose who took what. There was also no tonic water for the gin HOWEVER I appreciate the building is not equipped with a bar and the food and service was so fantastic that it didn't ruin the night at all. Very pleased and will be visiting again! Thank you!

This evening we dined at The Angel as a Christmas get together with friends. Food was delicious and service was friendly as we have come to expect. Great evening, great food and service. Happy to recommend to others.

Friendly staff, wonderful food and a lovely location.

Just had a meal here with my fiance.I ordered the soup of the day, homemade beef brisket burger and cheesecake for desert.My fiance ordered mozerella with sweet chilli, casian chicken burger and chocolate brownie.Firstly the food was cooked to perfection. My soup was full of flavour and a beautiful consistency, the bread served with it was delicious also. The mozerella sticks were beautiful and the dip was to die for. Mains was again cooked to perfection and seasoned and flavoured perfectly. Everything was obviously home made and just really nice. Portion sizes were really good also and we were both left nice and full. The deserts were a great finish and really sweet again home made and really tasty.Robert served us today and was very polite and attentive, even offered to take a photo of us both, he made sure we enjoyed every course and didn't go without anything. Very relaxed and smily atmosphere also and so welcoming.Marc the chef did a fabulous job and even found the time to bring the food out to us personally and again was very polite and nice.A very enjoyable experience all around in a lovely homely feeling place to have a meal.The place is small but very comfortable and relaxing, service was amazingly quick and for the quality, potion size and the fact to food is all home made, fresh and delicious I was quite shocked at how fairly priced this place is too.I honestly cannot thank them enough for an amazing date night with my fiance and honestly cannot give less the 5*I'd highly recommend this place!
