Overall not terrible but the food was not good. My wife ordered the steak which was tough and overdone, practically beef jerky with a poor cut of beef, and I had the Sea Bass which was barely cooked (might have been heated in a microwave) and then covered in a sauce which was fine. The steak dish had a decent flavor but was hard to chew and the fish dish was bland. My wife did order extra veggies and those were boiled well but it's hard to mess up boiled veggies. My wife did have the scampi starter which she said may have been the best starter that she has ever had and I had the chocolate tart for dessert which was not bad, but not great either... especially with the side of what appeared to be whipped sour cream: we decided that this must be a local delecacy since it tastes rather awful with a sweet dark chocolate tart, but maybe just something that we're not used to in Eye. We are from Stansted and never seen anything like it.for £34 per plate, which would imply an upscale and palatable meal, the Main simply was not.My wife wanted to make sure that we were fair and emphasize that the service was really nice, the ambience was beautiful, and we loved the waiter.

We decided to stay at The Bull, due to proximity and great reviews. I can honestly say that our visit was really rather good, from very professional and friendly staff to excellent food. The room we had was superb with large bed, really nice shower and even air conditioning, which was very welcome. All in all a fantastic stay in all respects and credit to all concerned. If we stay in this part of this world again We have no hesitation staying here.

My boyfriend took me here for a surprise birthday treat - bed, breakfast and dinner. Beautiful rooms. Delicious food with lots of gluten free options. Loads of breakfast choices. Very attentive service. Highly recommended.

The service was excellent and friendly. The food was exceptional.. I had a duck and liver pair to start with a grilled sirloin with berrenaise sauce with petit poi's & shallots. The food and atmosphere were fantastic. Definitely returning & I highly recommend

Amazing weekend. Rooms were lovely with all the nice little touches. Water, tea, coffee, soaps etc. Staff were lovely and nothing too much trouble. Food was good with an amazing cheese soufflé starter. Great wine choices. Will definitely be going back. Thank you.

Went there in a party of 8 and had the end room. Really friendly and helpful service followed by enjoyable food. Only a small criticism - serving a rare steak on a red hot plate changes it to medium, however it was really tender and full of flavour.

A warm welcome to a beautiful pub with gorgeous rooms. We hadn't booked for dinner, but they squeezed us in and the food was terrific. Pretty much perfect.
