The Claydon Chippy in Mid Suffolk

The village chippy serve excellent fish and chips. The portion size is very good. They are cooked to order, and you are told how long you will have to wait.

Claydon fish and chips are always fresh and enjoyable. Pieces of cod are hugely filling.Staff serve you with a smile which is alway nice after a busy day at work :)

Probably the best fish and chips we've had. Ordered ahead and were ready to collect at the stated time. Massive piece of cod, (ordered large) excellent chips, very reasonably priced, would highly recommend.

Cooked to order generous portion of chips decent size fresh lovely fried fish covered in a gorgeous batter. Curry sauce was well yummy. Good value for money and very tasty 😊

Friendly, fast service, yummy chips (not cooked in animal fat), large portion size, a few car parking spaces, can phone ahead to order. Lots of covid safety measures in place. Would recommend.

Only visiting area but for me, the fish and chips I bought was probably the worst I’ve ever bought.... the chips and fish tastes like they were cooked in old oil. The fish batter was disgusting and the chips (although fresh chipped real potatoes) tasted of old over cooked oil...... two stars are kinda generous.
