The Crown in Mid Suffolk

Superb food and fabulous service.We booked a table for lunch on Fathers Day. We sat in the courtyard and enjoyed a drink first, enjoying the sunshine. Into the restaurant for our meal, the food was superb, so was the service. We are lucky to have such a fabulous place to go to just a few minutes from home. Thank you to all the team for making a memory so enjoyable.

If there was a higher star rating I'd give it! Myself and husband celebrated our wedding reception at the Bildeston Crown a few days ago. We wanted an intimate wedding of 36 and really struggled to find a venue which could accommodate us with our needs for a more relaxed wedding reception. The moment we visited the Bildeston Crown we knew it was perfect for us. We had the Ingrams room and the venue let us set up the room with our decorations the night before, they also gave us a separate sitting room with a terrace where we had some live music in the evening. From start to finish it was perfect. The staff were amazing, they made me feel so special, even coming to see me off in the morning before I left for the registry office with my bridesmaids. Nothing was too much for them and we can't compliment them enough. The food was absolutely incredible. Our guests said it was the best wedding food they had ever had and the best wedding reception they had attended. Thankyou so much all at the Bildeston Crown for making our day so wonderful.

Wonderful visit. Food only.Great selection. Service brilliant from the second we entered.Starters superb, goats cheese donut in beetroot sugar... deliciously light and fluffy, melted goats cheese and the most amazing outer. They disappeared quick.Lamb for myself, cooked perfectly, a small jug of jus that was seasoned and reduced to perfection. Partner had the "kebab", which actually was a delightful mix of food. Delicious sweets....All in all highly recommended.No photos taken as too busy eating. I'll try better next time.

What a lovely relaxing place. Such a warm and friendly welcome. Super dog friendly. Rooms are beautiful and even provide a fan and iron and ironing board. Our room actually was a bit too warm even with the windows open so the fan was really helpful. Lovely food and great village location.

A group of ten of us came a couple of weeks ago for a Sunday roast. We were pretty disappointed with the food. The potatoes were terrible and the rest didn’t warrant the price tag. Real shame as it’s a lovely place. The young waiting staff were excellent but the more senior staff were a little aloof which I find amusing but also annoying. Won’t be rushing back.

We only popped in for a beer as we cycled past but the staff were very friendly, the bar immaculate and the beer top notch. We sat outside in a pleasant courtyard. We plan to try the food soon!

Exceptional. Having been diverted from the SatNav due to an accident, a very friendly local chap drove us to the hotel, we were blown away by the local hospitality. The entire stay was perfection. Thank you so much 😊

My family & I recently dined at the crown - wonderful setting, choice of food/ drink & service. We will definitely return again very soon.

Food was outstanding, the setting in front of a warm Suffolk fire, with good food and fantastic company and very accommodating staff...Fantastic night out, we will be back

Great as always, food incredible and such beautiful presentation every single time. The lobster Salad was as good as I remembered! Staff were very attentive and it was a really lovely evening. I enjoyed it so much I only took a picture if the pudding & the wine!! ..... the wine was very delicious.
