The Crown Hungry Horse in Mid Suffolk

Food was okay and garden nice. However empty plates were left on the tables for a good 40 mins after we had finished with no attempt to tidy them away by the staff. We even asked one of the waitresses to take them away as we wanted to order desert, but she nodded smiled and simply disappeared. Decided to have desert at home instead. Also worth noting that the pub garden even says no dogs unless they are guide dogs!!! In the current day and age, this is ridiculous and needs to be updated.

Booked a table for seven quite late in the evening. No issues raised with that and various dishes that were ordered all turned up within minutes of each other. Everything ordered was enjoyed.

It is about time we made our impressions known about our view of The Crown. It has been our habit to meet with friends once a fortnight, - all things permitting - for a few years now. We have a favourite table and from entering the premises we are made very welcome. The food is excellent and the salads are particularly fresh and appetizing. And the staff, many now so familiar to us, make our visit a very friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Thanks to one and all.

Good food at good prices but please its a Hungry Horse Greene King family pub so it's not your locally grown & farm food selection , but as a family pub it's great , the only negative for us was the smokers stood right at the door so we could smell the smoke where we were sat inside and its not appealing seeing smokers stood at the door as you enter with the family, please move the smokers or have staff aware of the issue to politely ask them to move

Busy pub lots of food offers. Thursday night free pudding night you may struggle to get in so book ahead. Nice staff and food is as advertised and friendly place. Family friendly. Go outside of mealtimes if you want a quiet drink.

Great family friendly place, polite and approachable staff that take the time to remember you even when your visits are extremely rare. A place we travel out of the way to go to for a great lunch. A happy and fun atmosphere. Thank you.

Nice pub friendly service, but Sunday roast didn't quite cut it, beef was cooked well but the rest just a bit mur half asked, other food burgers looked tasty & deserts were of good variety

Lovely food, friendly staff. Will definitely return. The Vimto rainbow burger was very tasty!

We visited here for lunch on Friday with our 2 small children. We were glad we reserved a table - it was very busy. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Despite being busy, our food was served quickly and was nice and hot. Looking forward to returning next week for breakfast with Santa!
