Friendly staff. Very welcoming. Lovely atmosphere and good food.

Excellent food and well priced. All staff and owners welcoming and very helpful. Taken through to the dining area once our dinner was ready. Enjoyed my rib-eye stek which was cooked exactly as I asked. Had 2 pints of their excellent cider (not driving). For most customers arrival by motorised transport is most likely as it is located away from settlements but conveniently on an A-class road and about 10 miles from Ipswich. Not a huge menu but I like that as you won't spend too long choosing. That said there is something for pretty much all dining tastes. Simple test...Would I go back to dine again? If I was in the area I'd go back in a heartbeat!

Called in after missing planned stop earlier in journey. Friendly welcome, calm relaxed atmosphere, one of those places that makes you feel wanted, appreciated and cared for. The meals were gorgeous and beautifully presented and not overpriced. Already planning a Sunday meal with friends to share the joy.

Had another Sunday Lunch takeaway today (Nut roast and Turkey, with all the trimmings). Lovely and excellent value as always. Well recommended!

What a gem of a place. We have driven past this place 100's of times. Finally ventured in. Met up with friends we haven't seen for years.The staff are incredibly polite, attentive and welcoming. It has a nice environment, almost outdated but with a charm that just makes it all come together to deliver a great atmosphere.The food ....The food was just beautiful, falvoursome, fresh and served in good time and hot.very reasonably priced.Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be sure to go back. Highly recommended..

Excellent service, accommodated 6 adults, 2 children and 2 babies in prams at short notice. Food was excellent, roast in particular was superb and the pricing fair as well. Will happily return.

I ate here a week ago in a party of four. The restaurant was lovely, really comfortable and beautifully decorated. The staff were warm, welcoming, polite and professional. The real highlight though was the food. I had a chicken liver pate starter, served with salad - delicious. I had a chicken, leek and mushroom pie, served with vegetables for my main course and it was spot on. I shared a sticky toffee pudding, served with caramel sauce and ice cream with my girlfriend for dessert and it was superb! The portion sizes were great too - I don't like my food delivered in a trough like at some franchise pub/restaurants. You should definitely book a table if you're in the area.

What a gem of a place quality melt in the mouth food at a reasonable price. Warm and welcoming. With lovely areas to sit and dine both inside and out. If you are in the area don't miss out.
