The Mill Bar and Grill in Mid Suffolk

Food reasonable. Service terrible, party of 6 for lunch, no other diners in restaurant. Had to wait too long for food then one persons order was messed up so she had to wait again then eat her meal after everyone else had finished theirs.

Such a great little find! Food and cocktails were good, service was fantastic. Can't understand why it wasn't busier!

We had our wedding reception at the The Mill. Okay, it was very close to the church, but thet was not the reason we chose it as a venue. The food was superb and we were able to offer guests a menue choice. The food was not the usual wedding fare but gastro, almost Michelin style food and every guest commented. The venue was beautifully presented and at the beginning the champagne flowed. Charlie and the staff took all the worry off our shoulders and the event was flawless. We are so happy we chose The Mill. Thank you to you all.

Just had an afternoon tea at The Mill bar, one which was gluten free, just a little bit unhappy with the portion size & variety offered, there were so many sandwiches etc for the normal tea but only four gluten free ones, no sausage rolls & only one cake.No concept either that food needs to be kept separate for the gluten free so no cross contamination .

Went here for dinner today for my daughter’s birthday, bit of a last minute decision to go out for dinner and it was Mother’s Day as well so we didn’t expect them to fit us in at such short notice but they did, service very good, friendly staff, food was lovely and well cooked, we all had different roast dinners which came with a good variety of veg and the biggest Yorkshire puds I’ve ever seen and we all enjoyed them very much, dessert menu had much better choices than the usual chocolate fudge cake or cookie dough etc that is the staple of most places nowadays, only criticism is that the cappuccino myself and my son had was very small cups and not as hot as we would have liked but overall a lovely meal & welcoming staff, will certainly visit again when in the area next

Lovely atmosphere and great service. Lunch menu a little limited but what we had was very nice. £6 for a small dish of vanilla ice-cream seemed a little steep though.

Great experience. The service was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Great cocktails. Food was really top quality. Excellent quality and decent portions. First time here since moving to the area and most definitely not the last! Can thoroughly recommend. 😃

We had a delicious cream tea and the entire experience was impeccable. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were flawless and happy to fulfil our every request. Their adherence to guidelines during the Covid-19 pandemic has been wonderful, with clear markings and sanitation to keep patrons safe.

This place is a beautiful gem just down from the station. The afternoon tea was amazing, and the cocktails afterwards we very well made and equally enjoyable. Staff were amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be coming back!
