White Hart Pub and Restaurant in Mid Suffolk

After a lovely long walk today atThornham walks, decided to go for something to eat at the White Horse. We were not disappointed. Can thoroughly recommend the Steak, mushroom & old speckled hen ale Pie. Lovely dining area & the staff were very pleasant too. This was our first visit, but we will definitely be back.

Great food at this surprise gem. We just stopped off as we needed a place to stop but it had a cute little kids area, with sand and a boat and a great rope swing. The food was also very good, gastro pub, quality.Finally you can stay the night here and it has several good deals for a Friday night and breakfast, or a Sunday night. Lots of apartments to choose from.Really a nice little place.

Just turned up on spec and managed to get a table. It was busy but tables are well spaced. Warm welcome. Great food, large portions. Sadly drinks didn't arrive until after the main course. Most waiting staff were absolutely great but our main waitress did not quite meet the same standard. Would still visit again.

Don't drive past!Gorgeous pub with a roaring fire, very friendly staff and food is incredible and such good value. We stayed on a dinner bed and breakfast deal, excellent value for money. Our room was spacious, immaculate and well fitted out with everything you would need for a night away can't wait to come back for another visit :-) Well done team!!

What a lovely place to eat. Really cosy and warm. Food was exceptional really fantastic Sunday roast. Good portions and good price for the quality of food. They have some great deals to stay over which is hard to ignore as they include dinner and breakfast.We will be back for sure

We were a party of 6 adults and 3 children aged 10 months, 2 and 5 years. We had pre booked and were shown to our table and serve very quickly. The food was lovely , well cooked and plenty of it. The children's portions were large. Will definitely be going back. Lovely place with lovely staff.

Best food we've had in a while. The ambience was great, it's a really cozy pub. But best of all was the food, very, very tasty. Our only regret is we were too full to try the desserts.

We had a nice roast dinner here which was tasty but came with quite a limited selection of vegetables (mine only came with carrots, broccoli and roast potatoes). I would have preferred a bit more variety and some roast parsnips. The Yorkshire puddings looked spectacular but were quite dry and very crunchy but maybe this was because we ate quite late at 2pm towards the end of service. I had the nut roast and vegetarian gravy and it was exceptionally tasty and as a vegetarian it was good to have a decent roast dinner available on the menu. My teenage daughter had the lasagne and it was superb. The desserts were delicious especially the apple and sultana crumble and it came with plenty of custard. The restaurant is beautiful and very clean and the service was friendly and professional. We would definitely eat here again.

Been here twice now and food excellent on both occasions. Ample portions and good value.Homemade burger was tasty (and lovely onion rings) on my first visit, and the roast potatoes on the Sunday roast are delicious.Tip : Buy some of the apple juice on the way out - it's very good.

Six of us from the TV series WW2 Treasure Hunters wanted to meet up again after not seeing each other for around 3 years.Duncan & Michelle live locally to The White Horse they said this gem of a place had plenty of parking and would have something on the menu to suit all of our tastes. They weren't wrong!A great variety of food & drinks, all served in a very timely manner. We weren't rushed out of our seats when we'd finished our meals either, so we lingered over coffee for a while.Fabulous staff, food & drinks. Everything was absolutely spot on.
