We visited this restaurant recently for the first time and regrettably last, with some friends, who we had not seen for a over a year. It was recommended by a colleague of my husband, and after checking out the reviews, I booked a table. When we arrived we where happy with what we saw. A modern and well laid out restaurant. Initial the restaurant was quite empty, but as the evening progressed it began to fill up. The noise level was unbelievably load. We had to shout at each other at the top of our voices to have any sort of dialogue, and in the end we just could not hear each other, despite it being a narrow table. The hosts manner was over familiar and despite apologising for the noise, his actions seemed to encourage it, joining in with the drinking and banter.Food was perfectly good, but the evening we where so looking forward to so much, was ruined by it, and we did not feel he had been able to have the evening we had planned.

So good! So clean! So jolly! From the moment you enter, they make you feel like you are visiting your cool uncle, who happens to be a very funny and very skilled authentic Indian chef. Tasty food. Aromas that delight your mouth. Cheerful atmosphere. A dinner to remember. Go and make a memory to cherish! Thank you!

Really good experience in here, right from when we walked in, very warm welcome and even though we’re not regulars we were treated as though we were . Prefect balance of attentiveness without being over baring and the food matched the welcome, very flavourful, we really enjoyed our evening. Thank you.

Well without a shadow of doubt this is the best Indian restraint in Royston. We have tried them all and this is the only one my wife and I cannot fault.Superb meals, fantastic service, lovely layout with two floors and COLD drinks including all the bottled beers. The hospitality and attention from staff to their customers is heart warming and has that real personal touch. You won’t find many staff {especially the owner) making the effort to know all regulars by name!Thank you so much 👍Richard and Lisa.

Been many times, never had a bad meal - in fact it's brilliant. Front of house, Iqbal, is really friendly and remembers the name of all his frequent guests. You really must try it (remember to book in advance).

Delicious food and very friendly and professional serving staff. Opens late at night and is a very comfortable place for meals or late night snacks. Wide selection of food and drinks on the menu, I wish I was more hungry so I could try out more of their dishes.

We have eaten in many Indian restaurants over the years but this was top of the pile. The sag aloo was the best ever and the quality of the chicken dishes and rice was superb. Even the house red wine and Cobra was top notch and all very reasonably priced. Well done Ashiana.
