And the rose tea and latte just right! They also have lovely shop with variety of cheese, teas and coffee and much more!Recommend everyone to try this place out. Great for families and young ones!

A lady who works here (I assume is the manager/owner) made my mother and myself feel very unwelcomed. We sensed abit of racism from her as she told us we could not be seated as we had a pram (very compact pram) despite having more than 1 table vacant. She eventually allowed us to but this did not make us feel comfortable. Our coffees were lovely but took a long time to be made. To be fair there was only one lady making the drinks.Cake (banana and cinnamon) was not to our taste. Very sweet and crumbly.Kindness is free and goes a long way. Customer service is everything.

We enjoyed a delicious slice of cake along with a well-made coffee. Friendly, local Deli with a magnificent cheese counter and other detectable goodies

I absolutely love this place ever since I was a toddler. A big treat when my nan used to birch bus us into Hitchin from clifton in the early 60,s. My all time favourite shop the smell of coffee, the various pies, pastys and cold meats on offer at the time .I was so proud to see it used in the sci fi TV series Humans a few years back. Proud to be born in Hitchin its still a beautiful little town. Long may it last.

I cannot praise Halsey's Deli enough. Mark has kindly organised for a hamper to be put together ready for collection within the hour. Mark was very knowledgeable and accommodating to meet my request. I organised for a taxi to collect the parcel and due to the road closure another member of the Halsey's team promptly took the parcel to the taxi. Thank you to Mark and team for saving the day. Highly recommend.

Homemade Tai soup to die for and best coffee I've had away from home in a long time! Great value for money, friendly helpful staff. Lovely location, tasteful (!) interior. Restful and calm! We are not local but will definitely return when we visit Hitchin again.

Went in yesterday morning with all intentions of having a coffee, ended up having breakfast. The staff were delightful, talkative and happy. Even talking together they seemed to all get on well. The customer experience was brilliant and very quick serving coffee and breakfast, was with a nice amount of conversation to add to it.Did not feel out of place being alone as was made to feel welcomed. I always use this cafe with my parents but will definitely use more now.

If you like cheese you'll love the deli section, can't really say the same for the tea room, coffees very good but the food menu not so hot tad expensive.
