Hitchin Starbucks in North Hertfordshire

Had a lovely welcome by Fane who was very helpful when I didn’t know what to get. Lovely person made our visit very enjoyable!

Tuesday 26th AprilNot impressed. We arrived and 1 table was free outside but very dirty. My friend went inside to order and to ask for table to be cleaned.She had to wait a long time for her order - and she was the only one in when she entered!In the meantime outside a marginally cleaner table became free and I moved us there.30' after we were there someone came out to pick up dirty mugs but no one bothered to clean any of the tables!!What happened to cleaning and disinfecting in there covid riddled times? What happened to just plain cleaning to ready the table for next customer.We stayed for over 45'. For at least half of the time the staff was not busy, just idling chatting behind the counter. We were not impressed and will not go back.

If I could i would give -5 stars. The drinks are always watery and the staff are so unwelcoming. I have given this starbucks so many tries and every time the drinks taste watered down. Can't taste the coffee and barley any milk. Makes me go all the way to Stevenage starbucks(and so should you) to get a decent coffee. Someone should investigate this stabucks as it feels like someone is pocketing the money for ingredients to make actual Starbucks drinks.

A busy spot in Hitchin's Market Square, yet always friendly and helpful. A nice spot to enjoy the comings and goings of this historic market town.There are plenty of coffee shops in Hitchin but none of them make a flat white as well as Starbucks.

Overall Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️Price For Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️Overall the price of the food/drinks at any Starbucks is a bit steep. Both for food and drinks. However the quality is very good for bothSpeed of Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️On this particular visit, the time between placing my order and receiving my food and drinks was okay. Not really fast or slow but I’d personally say a reasonable waitFood Quality: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Overall quality of my drink was really good. I ordered a Vanilla Frapacinno. It was very well made and very tasty.Not much more I can say!Restaraunt Cleanliness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️No major issues here. It was clean however I did notice that the cake cabinet was very crumby and looked rather bare.AOB- ⭐️⭐️⭐️I had no major issues with my visit. The store is very aesthetically pleasing to look at from the outside and within. However if you could inform your baristas to be more delicate with handing drinks as the gentleman practically threw my drink onto the side and in fact it fell over. If it wasn’t for the cream on top of my drink. It would have spilt everywhere.

Either you love Starbucks or you dont. My husband and I both love Starbucks so of course we had to visit the Starbucks on the main square in Hitchin! The baristas were just the friendliest people ever, humoring us with our silly requests, just try asking for half and half in the UK! Our first time there my husband was trying to explain what half and half was and finally agreed to drink his cold brew with whole milk. They have a patio where everyone brings their dogs. We even met a retired teacher that gave us a lift to the train station for our first adventure into London free wi-fi, coffee and friendly people, what's not to love? Starbucks in Hitchin is great place to watch people go by while you enjoy the town square.

Nice place with great view over Hitchin market. Most of the time very lively. Shame that caffe and the toilet are not clean.

This branch provides all of the same sandwiches, baguettes, salads, cakes, drinks etc as any other (and at the same high cost) although the two large windows spanning either wall give you a view of the surrounding area and shrubbery which offers a very open and relaxed atmosphere as opposed to the normally much "darker" and enclosed feel. The quality of food, drink, and service is decent considering the level of consistency that is required of these chain cafes.
