Los Reyes in North Hertfordshire

Came here for a bite to eat with a friend on a weeknight. I must say, this is some of the best Tapas I've EVER had; and I'm someone who's been to Spain many times. We were left waiting 15 minutes for our booked table, however we were offered some draught beers on the house.The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu, as well as the daily specials. The food was fantastic and will definitely be high on my list for food when I return to Hitchin.

Absolutely love the whole experience. Our waitress was very well informed on the dishes and gave very good recommendations for food and the wine list. Felt like we were back in Barcelona! The food is amazing, I will be bringing friends and family here for sure!

Food was excellent, very flavorful. Service was horrendous. Couldn't hear a word our softly spoken waitress said. Waited an hour for 1 prawn and the rest followed in dribs and drabs. Food was far too slow and restaurant failed to accommodate the fairly long wait times. Not recommended if you're a family

“We’re a restaurant not a bar” the first thing said to us within literally seconds of walking in, by the manager who was sat down having a drink. Not even a “hello how can I help you.” We had popped in to see if there was table available or if we could book a table for another day, however were swiftly rejected by this remark. Disgusting behaviour and even after going back to explain we were merely asking about a table, were told bluntly “people book weeks in advance”. We had been keen to find out about this restaurant, and whilst we appreciate it was a Saturday night, we would not expect a potential customer to be humiliated in this way.

In Hitchin on a cold wintery night and looking for a warm welcome, we happened upon Los Reyes and found what we'd hoped for. The place was busy but they had space for our small party. Servers were pleasant, knowledgeable and responsive. The food was good and 3 Tapas portions each was more than enough quantity. The portions were bought out periodically so you had chance to nibble and graze as the night wore on, rather than have a table full of platters. It also meant we got to try each others plates rather than just the ones we ordered ourselves and made for a much more enjoyable event. Well done Los Reyes.

Food was amazing. Eat dish rife with the understanding of flavours. Nothing overpowering and each complimenting each other.

Given we hadn't booked and it was clearly a busy evening these lovely people managed to seat us anyway and boy are we glad they did. We love tapas and these guys really know how to do it well. We arent often out in Hitchin but the quality of the food, the wonderfully warm and friendly atmosphere will likely have us back here sooner than expected. Thank you for a wonderful time.
