Polcaro's Fish and Chips in North Hertfordshire

Twice we have had tea from here this week ,this time again chips dry as a nuns c_ _t and they are putting vinegar on with a sorry bottle, jokes .money bloody wasted

This shop serves up fish and chips exactly how they should be done . I don't recall ever having had better from anywhere. Good service and quality food. Well done

Never been let down by the quality of food at Polcaro's. Visited for the first time since C19 arrived on our doorstep, only two customers allowed inside during Lockdown 2.0 & a line waiting outside on a cold dark night. A good sign in my book. 😉

Cooked to order..... I have had both cod and haddock here. Fish was very fresh, boneless, and cooked to order. Lovely crispy chips too. No excess oil on the paper and not at all greasy tasting. We will be returning. Great value for money.

Three stars at best. Their chips are of an inconsistent quality. I've had a couple of really nice portions but I've also had a couple that were of a very poor standard and should not have been sold. The staff are polite and friendly but I don't think I will bother going back since this happened more than once and there are frankly better offerings elsewhere in town.
