Royston Tandoori in North Hertfordshire

Ordered from here last night and it was delivered quicker than advertised, but with my mixed grill missing! I called up and said it was missed and was met with a very polite and professional man that apologised and they sent out another within 20mins, everything was hot when delivered and was delicious, they even gave me a complimentary naan and papadum’s!! Everyone is human, would definitely use them again, thanks guys!!

Always good food with excellent service

Ordered tonight when they opened at 5, was advised take away would be within the hour. Hour later no takeaways called and was told driver was on its way had 4 drop offs to do all in the same area! 25mins late still no food! Called again was told he couldn’t get through to driver but would be there soon! Pointed out wouldnt food be cold if driver has been out now for 25mins plus! Was advised they use good bags!!Another 15mins later still no food!! Called again and was told to open my door he was outside!! Said I have got my door open nobody is there!! Gave address again advised they have delivered to js many of times! He kept telling me to open my door!! Really nobody is there! Then told me that there short of drivers and this was a new driver so my husband walked down the road man on the phone wanted to to go, but I wouldn’t until we had sorted eventually found driver down the road! Food was stone cold! Told the man on the phone for him to tell me it’s not cold!!! Not sure how he could tell from down the phone! But assured him that my husband was getting the food out the bag and it’s cold! He said oh next time you order tell me and I will do something! No I want some money off he refused and even had the cheek to say well give the food back and release! My driver as we’re very busy!! Safe to say we will not be going back! Was starving so after all that time had to pay and eat and really wish we had given it back as it was disgusting!! Tasteless, cold, looked like it had been sitting there all day!

Was recommended this place by a friend. Easy to order online and very friendly delivery bloke. The food was good... very good. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed a korma and my madras was bloody lovely. I got little bursts of coriander and other little hits of spice. The naan was as good as any I ate in India. Will be using again for sure.

Would definitely have again even if there was a mix up with my order the taste made up for it best Indian in Royston by far!

We usually get takeay from here every 2 weeks and it's amazingl - faultless, easily the best curry in town. Tonight the chicken was really dry, not sure whether it was because we ordered from just eat... Really disappointing

It was very average. I checked it out after I saw that they won a regional award. But was left wondering how they ended up getting it. Below expectations unfortunately.

Disappointed doesn’t even cover it.Food was almost cold when it arrived and my Paneer Tikka Masala was made with coconut milk- more like a korma with very little flavour.Also ordered a lamb madras where the meat was so tough and hard it was almost inedible.We ordered from Royston as we saw their promotions saying they were the ‘best Indian in Herts’ - needless to say we will not be ordering from here again.

Wonderful food, shame about the extra half an hour we had to wait for food. Staff really lovely will be eating from here again

Having eaten many curries over the years, I can safely say that Royston Tandoori is hands down the best around. Whilst some of the staff aren't able to offer perfect service, the manager/owner is fantastic and will go out of his way to make sure you are well looked after. I cannot recommend them enough and will continue to use them because the curry is delicious every time!
