The Angel Vaults Inn in North Hertfordshire

Had food in the garden on Monday afternoon. they forgot our drink order completely and brought our food without them so I had to go into the bar half way through my meal to order and collect our drinks. My fish and chips were good but the chicken burger and veggie burgers were appalling ..served on a cheap white dry bun with no relish and a ten chips? I definitely won't be eating here again. Very disappointing! The food at the Wetherspoons in Letchworth is always consistently good so it's not the whole chain.

Disappointing. Not clean. Food is not great, I even had to exchange my pint of beer, because it was flat. Would not recommend this location.

Great garden very large. Waited a long time for drinks and food. Great choice and very good value.

Nice pub. Huge sitting area. Parking is nearby if you aren't drinking. Some quality restaurants around. Recommended.

Stood at the bar for 15 minutes whilst I was ignored by the bartender. (No customers at the bar at this point) Kept going back to serve his mates who came to the bar long after I was stood there.

Trouble with order app down,so waited and waited chased order in the meantime my daughter had to leave as she would be late back to work. Re-ordered then food arrived lukewarm and eggs hard and black,not impressed at all table not even cleaned.So won't be returning here for food.

It's a wetherspoons so good beers at low prices, good basic food also at good prices, this place has character which fits well with the town. Not as wheelchair friendly as a modern building but is accessible in parts as is the garden area. Altogether a nice place to have a pint.

Ordered food, spicy chicken. One of the items missed off the plate totally and the chicken was cooked but stone cold as if it had been stored in the fridge and reheated, but without the microwave being switched on. The barman was in shock and offered me an instant replacement or refund. Pasta dish that was ordered had been reheated and all the pasta around the outside of the plate was welded together. I couldn't be bothered to go back to the bar at this point. Very disappointing.

Great little pub in a converted historical building.It's weirdly designed inside with flooring removed from some upper floors but really works as a quirky set up.Range of beers is as usual with Wetherspoon pubs great and well priced.Parking is fairly close, cheap and plentiful.If you're visiting Hitchin and want a break from shopping of which there's not a massive amount definitely worth a look.

Really let down despite usually being good here. Half the menu seemed to be out of stock, the plates/cutlery were dirty and a burger we had wasn't even cooked.
