It is a year since we stayed here, but we don't forget, because it's the worst place we've ever stayed. The first room was appalling, we asked to be moved, but the second one was just as bad. Shredded curtains, uneven spongy floor, bathroom door wouldn't close due to rotting floor, dirty mouldy bathroom, no matress covers or headboard. Restaurant menu consitsed of greasy fish and chips. When we booked we read on their web site:- "Our modern and recently refurbished rooms", this was clearly not true. We made enquiries to stay somewhere else, but it was dark and late and we'd just travelled 150 miles. When we spoke to the manager next morning, he told us as we'd stayed the night, there would be no refund.

A reluctant 2☆ to 3☆Why? Had an end motel room right towards the back of the complex. Room clean (except for months worth of dust in the curtain top pleats!) Toilet tank took while to refill after usage and the room immediately smelled damp on entering! However i wasn't expecting much to begin with so it wasn't too bad. The pillows were a bit flat too!The related pub itself seemed a half decent pub. Had good JDs and G&Ts. They even had their own chippy! Didn't sample that but they were busy!Breakfast was mediocre. They told us what time breakfast was but we were waiting outside for it to open with staff arriving for duty and breakfast not ready. After they finished setting up no'one told us what was on offer or that we were to help ourselves so we just did so. Then a staff member came in and said "you want an english breakfast yeah"! Then a large number if people entered for breakfast and she shouted to them all "do you all want an english breakfast- hands up how many"! Um - not the way you treat guests staying at the B&B!

Nice staff and the clean bedding smells great. The rooms are a bit tired and no light in the bathroom but you get what you pay for

The room is ok ish, and the people were friendly. But the downside was, there was no hot water for a shower, and after 23:00pm no one answers the phone, after ringing 3 times to try and get a different room. The kettle was in the room, but no cups or any glasses either.I wouldn't stay again, or recommend it!!

Adequate accommodation at reasonable priced rooms. Staff really nice. Fish and chips are fantastic and the breakfast superb. Will be going back.

The room was tired, musty and not clean (pubic hairs in abundance!). It felt like they catered mainly for travelling contractors.Bar was sparsely furnished, tired and consisted of 3 Tv's and 3 or 4 gaming machines.Staff, however, we're friendly and helpful.

I booked the accommodation here whilst working in the near-by area, and within an hour of being in the room, I decided I would rather brave the commute!-Carpets tired and worn.-Crack in the window.-Main bedroom light wasn't working properly.-Bath/Shower dirty and covered in limescale.-No WiFi in rooms.-Thin walls where you can hear everything going on outside.-Bed uncomfortable. There are MUCH nicer B&Bs in the area for a cheaper rate.

Great carvery. Turned up with 9 members of my extended family for lunch with no reservation. Restaurant was fully booked but they accommodated us in the bar by pushing tables together. Staff were friendly and the carvery was excellent value for money.

Nice chalet style motel. Rooms are clean and excellent bathroom facilities. Wireless....no idea never given code and not that too bothered anyway. Bed not too comfortable. But for the price it's excellent value and if it's what you're looking for it fits the bill.
