45 minutes for food to arrive. One meal was wrong. Once food was given did not see a waitress or waiter again. Initially went in for Sunday Carvery but was told a big group in so it was very busy - basically to have something else. Put by door on bar stools. Not pleasant first experience. Will not visit again.

Had a family meal there today, very nice staff, food was ok, I don't think it is as good as it use to be. It is a very friendly pub, I was just alitte disappointed with my lunch if I was honest.

We were struggling to get a table anywhere locally for a later Sunday lunch, but the Old Bull didn't let us down.We both chose the Beef short rib with mac n cheese and a bowl of chips to share. It was pure bliss, the meat was so tender you could have used a spoon...the mac n cheese loose, cheesy and well seasoned. The rocket and parmesan salad gave nice freshness to an otherwise heavy dish. We were very content and glad we didn't opt for the Carvery roast on offer.

Great place to eat. Had the carvery. Very friendly and helpful staff. Easy to park and good for disabled people. Path from the car park to inn was a bit stony but manageable.

Had to unfortunately cancel a person due to covid but still got charged for their meal. Expected to lose deposit but not be charged. Would have taken a doggy bag if known. 🙄

I have just left the old bull after staying for 5 nights on business. From the moment I arrived all of the staff were super friendly and did everything they could to make my stay everything it should be.The rooms themselves are old and dated and definitely need some money spent on them to bring them up to date, and the fixed shower head in the bath was so low I could not even stand under it, and I'm only average height. The room was also not serviced for the whole week I was there. The food in there was absolutely fantastic, I ate in the restaurant twice in the evening and both times it was so good, and breakfast every morning was really good with plenty of choice.Apart from the overall cleanliness of the room and the fact it's really dated, it was a good place to stay.

We held our mum’s 80th birthday Afternoon Tea party in the Ballroom this week, and could not have been more pleased with the venue. The tables were laid out with beautiful China and extra clothed tables were supplied for the cake, presents etc. Even a coat rack had been positioned discretely in the corner! The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The Afternoon Tea itself was a delight. Excellent range of sandwiches and cakes - all presented exquisitely. My mum had a wonderful afternoon. Thank you to all at The Old Bull.

It's got some history and the building is old and older in places. It has a car park, an outdoor seating area. Inside is a restaurant and a bar as well as reception which has its own mini bar area! The rooms are fine and though in need of some tlc some would say, isn't that part of the charm of a pub/Hotel as this is. The rooms were clean and functional. The bar was good with a good range of drinks and the restaurant was fine also. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming.
