This is a really great pub. It's changed a lot with the current owners and I hadn't realised until I had a meal there this evening. We were late - they'd technically stopped serving - but they were happy to make us something. And when I say something, I mean the best pasta I've had in a long time. Amazing flavour and quality ingredients, beautifully cooked. They know what they're doing. It was really quiet. They deserve more customers. Go there! It's a lovely atmosphere and extremely friendly. You won't be disappointed.

Great countryside pub, whether you're just out for a walk deep in the country and you want to stop for a lovely meal and a drink before you carry on, or if you live locally and enjoy eating out, you are always welcomed here. The staff here are always warm and welcoming, and the food is just amazing. You can also get takeaways. It has a nice size car park and lovely outdoor seating area.

It's a bit out of the way, and was chosen from reviews as somewhere to entertain my aunt and uncleThe food was excellent wholesome Italian food, that you from a pub, nothing to fancy but well cookedVery friendly service, and atmosphere

Me and mum passed this pub on our 6 mile walk around Barkway and decided to give it a go.We didn't realise it was a mainly Italian restaurant until we looked at the menu. The decor inside is still rustic as you would expect from a traditional pub.The biggest surprise was the prices. Very reasonable. I had the carbonara (with extra cheese) and mum had a chicken burger. After starters and drinks I think the meal came to just under £40 and that is rare. Decent sized portions too. I have a big appetite and I almost didn't finish. Defenatley recommended.
