We ate here for the first time on Thursday evening. I was so impressed! The staff were so helpful and accommodating, right from my first enquiry and throughout our visit. The food was impressive; the steak was the best I've had in a very long time, or perhaps ever! A really great dining experience; we will be back!

We had a beautiful Sunday lunch here me and my partner had roast pork whilst our friend had chicken. All food was warm tasty and well cooked. Fab service and staff! We had a Rolo dessert and a panacotta which were very rich but beautifully presented! Pricing us high medium end but the food served is good value for the price. You must book early to avoid disappointment and they are doggy friendly to but please let them know you are bring a šŸ•

Every 7 years your Birthday falls on a Monday. And on Mondays the best restaurants are all closed.Except the Fox at Willian. Not only is it open but it is jam packed. Not only is it open but the food, wine and service are all excellent. Not only is it open but the car park, the restaurant and the bar are already filling up from 6 p.m. onwards. Not with Willian locals though. But with guests driving many miles to this tiny village to sample their famous food, drink and hospitality. Not just a four star AA certificate, but mentioned in the Michelin Guide too. Genuine fine dining.Fair prices too - for good quality food with generous portions. No one goes hungry at The Fox.And our afterthought was: well, yes, we only came here because nowhere else was open on a Monday BUT we'll definitely come once a month from now on ... if we can book a table. Yes, booking is essential - much too popular to leave to chance.

Had a great meal at The Fox for our wedding anniversary. While not cheap the quality was excellent and portion sizes were good, we felt it was good value. We also stayed in one of the rooms there. The room was comfortable with good quality fixtures and fittings, we slept very well. We look forward to going there again.

Delightful and vibrant gastro pub with tempting menus. Enjoyed our Sunday roast very much. Pricey but money well spent on quality freshly prepared food.

I was going to write a review on our 2 previous visits as they were superb but didn’t get round to it. Not knowing the area we were looking for a place to stay for a friend’s party we were attending in the area The Fox at Willian was recommended and we were pleasantly surprised! On the last two visits we stayed over in the top room with the roll top bath the room was extremely clean and the decor is 5 star definitely recommend this room you won’t be disappointed. We have also eaten on all 3 visits in the restaurant and we must say the food as always been outstanding the risotto is a favourite of ours and the fish and chips fluffy cod with a light crispy batter. After our most recent visit and I must say on all 3 occasion’s a lovely young lady named Megan was stand out for us from the minute we walked in we were met with such a warm welcoming smile and very professional. She was very attentive to make sure that our visit was a good one. Thanks again,We will definitely be back!Mr and Mrs Norman (Leicester)

My husband and I booked a meal here the day after Valentine's day. It was a fantastic meal. The food was absolutely delicious - we had starters, mains and desserts and couldn't fault anything. The duck and the steak were particularly good! We also had a bottle of rioja, which paired wonderfully with the food. The staff were professional and helpful - Max, our waiter, was great, very knowledgeable and friendly. We can't wait to return!

Very much a gastropub/inn, complementing the nearby, more traditional, Three Horseshoes. Stayed here in one of the garden rooms; relatively small but very well appointed and dog friendly. Both the bar and restaurant areas are refurbished in light wood; stylish rather than traditional. I liked the fox-themed decor throughout. The quality of food in both spaces is to a very high restaurant standard. All staff were very professional and friendly, albeit seemingly overworked and occasionally struggling to keep up with service at times. Overall worthy of five stars.

Staff were tired and impolitePomme frites served the toughest steak I’ve ever eaten, and came undercooked (blue, rather than medium rare)They also horrendously overcharge for deserts. Ā£8.50 for a small slice of tart and a half sized scoop of iced creamEDIT:Thank you for the reply, but…1. The time I visited was not a peak time (it was early December).2. I did send the steak back, and the chef suggested ā€˜warming it up’. This changed nothing - it tasted like it had been microwaved, which I strongly suspect it had been.I then asked for the burger instead, which was also mediocre.3. I won’t be returning.

Love this pub. Indeed all pubs by this small firm are great. The Fox stands out due to its food & range of beers though. We were stopping off to drop the Christmas menu back for a meal next week and grabbed a drink. Clean, smart and sophisticated - that's me; the pub matches me in this respect and we had a nice pint of Beavertown and a quick chat with the polite young staff. Can't wait for the meal back there.
