Extremely rude staff. Was very rude when asking and checking IDs, I understand that checking ID’s is needed when someone looks under 25 but there is no need to be rude. Staff obviously like the power of being rude and checking them as the staff member scratched my ID multiple times even after it was proved it was real. They should think twice about treating customers better as I will never be returning. In response to your reply i would like to state that i was not rude at all to your staff, even when they were rude to us I still was not rude to them. Your reply just highlights the same level of rudeness.

Lively place on the Saturday night we visited. A bit tight but more room upstairs later on. Good fun.

We went to the George on Saturday lunchtime. Fantastic friendly welcome from Mickey and Darren. A great cosy pub with an open fire. We really enjoyed our chats with them and some delicious vegan burgers. Thanks - we'll be back!

Lovely cosy pub with a fire going last Sunday. Had an amazing roast with all the trimmings, even mash, and I liked how you can choose your portion size. Huge gravy boat too! My fiance had beef and I had gammon, making sure I left room for chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. All delicious and friendly service. We will definitely be back!

We stopped in Hitchin for a walk through and lunch then bumped into this establishment which had a delicious roast!! Recommended.

Lovely pub, the roast dinner was incredible and great for the kids they even got a free pudding. Amazing Customer service. Looking forward to making it our new Sunday treat!
