The Guru in North Hertfordshire

Beautiful meal at The Guru with my family tonight. Really excellent flavours and a very nice peaceful environment. Recommended

The mixed grill starts was good. The mains was disappointing. Friendly staff.

Lovely restaurant, have been coming for years and now with the new refurbishment looks wonderful. Waiters were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and fresh and didn’t take too long to arrive, tikka masala and tandoori is the most flavourful. I’m always pleased when I visit guru.

Lovely place for a Buffet Sunday Lunch 😋. First time back since Covid-19 lock down. I did however miss a lentil dish, as was available in the past

Have been coming here for 10+ years. The atmosphere, food and prices used to be amazing. Unfortunately over lockdown they’ve redone the place, doubled the prices and reduced the quality.Really poor choice of lighting on the ceiling which makes the chicken in a curry appear pink and raw.It’s too quiet in the restaurant, it’s awkward.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice, the light can change in any colour, the food is high quality. The value of the money is very good. Is an amazing traditional restaurant.

Really lovely food every time and pleasant staff. Recommend the tandoori chicken and chicken tikka and mutter paneer!

I really enjoy Guru. The new layout and decor is nice and simple. The food had always been great and I like the Bangladeshi style of food (Bangla beer is really good).Guru and Sun and Sand are competing a shoot-out at the moment and they're neck and neck.

0 Value for money, as the portions are too small for what you pay. The service was horrendous, the waiter that served us (aged) had so much attitude and was so much of a rush. Got our order wrong as well and did not even come to apologise. The only time he would looked at us is when we wanted to order and when we had to pay. I would not recommend this place unless you want to get disappointed..
