Opened 30 mins late on Saturday afternoon. Potato wedged served were burnt. Fish was overcooked. Suspicion they were reheated from the day before. Attached a photo of the wedges that were served to us. On the right what was originally served, on the left how we'd expect it and what was provided when I complained. Probably should have mentioned the fish too but they weren't as bad as the wedges.

Absolutely fabulous service & food. Walked in on a Sunday, only Cavary & kids menu available which was fine. We enjoyed our food & staff behind the Cavery counter was so polite despite the heat & it being busy. Her name was Corrine. She made the experience 10x better as she had a good chat with us. Made us feel very welcome! We come here everynow & then. We have always been chuffed with the service & food. Staff also display a good level of teamwork!

1 star is being kind, 7 of us went for a Father's Day carvery and only my son who is 10 enjoyed their meal. Potatoes were hard and soggy and such a pale colour we didn't know if they were the boiled potatoes! Vegetables were hard and meat was tough, supposed to be a treat for our dad's and it was such a let down as no one enjoyed it and left hungry. We let a member of staff know when they collected our plates and they said they would look into it for us but know one came back to us so we just left as we just wanted to get out of there!! Such a shame as we have been there in the past and had a lovely meal so that's why we came back for Father's Day. But after today's experience we may not be going back again...........

Great carvery, really helpful staff who knew the menu well as my son just something specific and they were able to help. Service with a smile from the bar would have given it 5 stars. Would definitely return for a good value belly full!

Extra points for friendly staff and a good menu choice but unfortunately food was not quite spot on. Carvery was good with tons of meat, Pie was nice and puddings lovely but the Burger was visibly burnt and lettuce was brown and storky. And the chicken skewers were dry. But overall would visit again as this could have been just a blip and need a few visits to really try everything out.

This was our 1st visit, we were disappointed that they didn't have any steak, apparently it was a limited menu for mothers day. We don't normally like carvery, because the yorkies are usually dry and tasteless, these were nice, I avoid the spuds as a rule, but these were nice too, the meat was also nice. So all in all, considering carvery isn't our usual choice, we enjoyed it.

We booked for 16 people for a birthday on a busy Sunday. The staff were amazing even through it was clear they were under pressure from how busy it was. The food was amazing. We was told there would be wait as all ordered separate yet all the food come together. Really impressed with the service and food. Highly recommend, thanks for a great afternoon and the amazing staff.

Visited this afternoon and we were very satisfied with service and quality of the food. We both went for the carvery option and agreed that the food was excellent and at a very reasonable price. We will definitely visit again the next time that we are in the area.

We haven't been here in years! We decided to pop in with the kids for lunch. They loved their meals and so did we. It's the perfect family pub, the staff were friendly and the prices good. We will be returning soon.

Nice pub with great service, we sat outside as it was a sunny day.Whilst it was great for the sun I would not recommend eating outside as there's a fairly busy road directly out the front. However the seating was our choice.Service was excellent and the staff were friendly. We didn't end up eating here due to the traffic but thoroughly enjoyed our pints.I'm sure if the day hadn't been as good we would have opted for an inside seat where the traffic wouldn't have been an issue.
