Visited this restaurant as part of a stag do, and had a great time with very tasty food. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming

One of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Great flavours and the only place I have found who offer paneer as a choice for all dishes, truly a vegetarian heaven.

Thanks a lovely hot meal to replace the disappointment of last week's weekend treet.I say treet as not the cheapest and I would normally produce a worthy challenge to a Indian style stay at home evening meal.A tip for takeaways is to put the oven on heat the plates up and take out of the bags soggy nans bhaji etc to keep crisp and serve piping as always not hot.But again Thank-you to the Manager for replacing the whole meal which was not good from last week to this which was very good.

Ordered our first Indian since we moved to Baldock and chose The Lancer. Ordered a Balti, Bhuna, tandoori lamb, onion bhaji and samosa, naan breads and poppadoms. The curries were pretty bland in flavour and no heat to them at all (in terms of spice). The samosa was a bit oily and again very bland. Naan breads were a little doughy and the poppadoms a little oily but not too bad. The onion bhaji was nice and crispy. All in all a very bland experience and lacking flavour altogether! Not what we expected from an authentic Indian restaurant. Shame, as looking at reviews you expect a lot better! We won't be going back again.

I love this restaurant! The staff are friendly, the food is delicious with great presentation, fast service, overall quality is fantastic and will Definately be back in a week or so. Definately give them a try (if I could give 10 stars I would).

Excellent food, tandoori mixed grill and onion bhajis superb. Good service, good atmosphere at a reasonable price. Good all round would recommend, although curiously slippery wooden floor! (probably freshly mopped)
