Very pleasant staff and average food. Table attentiveness and overall general service was slow. Two hours for main course arrival from initially sitting down is too long. The Raven has been better in the past and I hope they improve as we head into Spring and Summer.

Absolutely incredible. The food was some of the best we've had at a pub.The staff were so helpful, happy and friendly.Lovely location with a play area outside for kids, nestled in the tiny village of hexton.Really impressed, wish I'd eaten here sooner as I'm local to Hexton but hadn't thought about trying it.

Surprise decision after 10 Miles over the biggest hills bedfordshire has to offer. They are not very big. Anyway, pub was clean, tidy, well staffed. Barman was well informed, charming, and pulled a super clean pint of Youngs. No food ordered, as we had a dinner to get to. Menu looked pretty good, and staff were eating (always a good sign at start of shift). Will add it to the list of walking destinations.

Mine and my partners new favourite place to go for lunch or dinner. Absolutely faultless every time and amazing food. Best ribs around!

Starter (garlic mushrooms) were disappointing- watery when pierced with a fork. My Roast dinner was nearly cold. The turkey was processed meat and the veg shrivelled up ( obviously old and barely reheated). I won't be visiting again unless I hear the food has improved. At least for once the plates weren't stone cold but even they couldn't cope with cold food.

A place to go if you want traditional no nonsense pub grub. Very pleasant and a nice atmosphere.

Christmas dinner here was disappointing. The pub is nice and the staff were pleasant and efficient, but the turkey came out of a packet and they served frozen roasties. The meal was nice enough but for £67 each, and it being Christmas day, I did expect freshly cooked food.

Had our family Christmas Dinner here on Christmas day. Service was excellent and the food was fantastic- many thanks and well done to all the staff. (Now can you allow dogs in please????)

This is a lovely pub, with a welcoming and very pretty frontage with welcoming hanging baskets. There is plenty of space for parking. There is also a back garden with extra seating on lovely sunny days. There is a long bar with plenty of drinks and varieties to choose from. Lots of seating areas, which you can book in advance for parties etc..I sat in what felt like a secluded area which didn't need pre booking. There was lots to choose from on the menues. I had a lovely salmon and prawn starter which was like a mini meal. Everything seemed fresh and light. I followed up with a lighter bite menu and chose the 4oz steak, chips peas and tomato and onion rings. I felt that the onion rings were homemade and were lovely and crispy. Steak was cooked exactly as I asked. I also managed a raspberry pavlova, which was a delight. The raspberries were tart and the meringue sweet. A lovely combination. The staff were friendly and busy. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them.I really enjoyed my first visit.
