The Red Lion in North Hertfordshire

Not been here for years but pleasantly surprised. Staff were quick and knowledgeable , the food and drinks were as ordered and delicious. There is an ambiance which has an old pub feel but is modern by design. A lovely time enjoyed by all the family.

I had a full roast dinner and it was incredible. My waitress even gave good juju to West Ham for them to win as thats what was on the TV. The manager Jackie was amazing and made sure that everything was up to very high standards and that we were happy with everything. Definitely will be returning. Excellent food, incredible and friendly staff. Thank you Jackie and ALL the waitresses who were rushed off their feet, you are all amazing.

Good pint of ale food was very tasty (the batter on the fish needs a bit of practice) still lovely fish my husband's lamb was very good and very hot reasonable priced

Really nice atmosphere, good staff and real ale in good condition (Timothy Taylors) . Didn't eat but the food looked good too !

Had a fantastic time today at the Winter Wonderland at the Red Lion. Lots of stalls, great for kids and adults alike. The owners of the reindeer were so nice and gave us lots of interesting facts about them. Definitely worth the visit.

Excellent food and service. One of the best pub cooked steaks I have had for a long time. Very reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and efficient

This is a village gem and it’s down to the determination and attention to detail of the landlady. It serves delicious pub food , £2 for sausage and mash on Monday and there’s always different events. If you haven’t visited recently I highly recommend. Bon appetite. One love to The Red Lion.

Stopped here for Sunday lunch before heading home to Wales. Attentive staff, nice Sunday lunch would have liked more veg, good that you can have a choice of 2 sizes and get a free child's meal was a bonus. The staff were attentive and kept coming to check all was ok. Would call again if in the area.

Pre birthday treat: Delicious Doombar battered fish n chips.I've ordered fish n chips over twenty times this year across four countries and never tried it here before. I've just experienced the best of these for £11.50pThe chips were perfection along with the mushy peas complimented by patient friendly service, it was all top draw! To cap it all on Wednesday nights the desserts are FREE. The Doombar Ale & the Shiraz were also excellent.
